Went to the dr yesterday and I've lost 22 lbs. since surgery on 11/13. My blood pressure was also normal. I'm still having problems trying to get all my protein in everyday. I keep trying different things but seems I can't find one that I like. Any suggestions on getting all my protein in everyday? Seems each thing I try upsets my stomach and then I don't want anymore of it again. I am going to try unflavored protein powder mixed with broth and see how that goes but any other suggestions would be helpful. I just don't want to start loosing hair! Feeling good other than the bumps when I eat something too fast and I got moved up to solid foods (of course, it's only 2 oz. of it at each meal) but better than the baby food. Everyone have a good day! Regina

Congrats Regina.... sounds like you are doing a great job with your weight loss. I don't know what to tell you about the protein, I think you are doing the right things though. You have to keep trying until you find something that works for you. Good Luck.... I can't wait until I move up to more solid foods.... (Thursday).... it is just around the corner..... New foods to choose from... wooo hoooo..... Well, I hope you are able to find something for protein soon.... Shawn M.

Hey Regina, Wow ! Congrats so far. I had the same problem with not liking my protein I FINALLY. GNC - try - Isopure (ready to drink) - they are kind of like a gatorade kind of drink. 1 bottle is 20 ounces and has 20 grams of protein, I mix it 1/2 - with crystal light. hope that helps, Britt

Have you tried unjury protein powder? I really enjoy the chocolate flavor. It has 20 gms of protein, and when I mix it with milk, it has 28 gms. You can order it from the internet at unjury.com, and they have sample sizes so you can try it before ordering a larger quantity. They also have vanilla, strawberry and unflavored, but I haven't tried that yet. If you go to the nutrition board on OH, you will find different products and what people think of them. That may give you a few more ideas. A couple of other things that I have tried that have a good quantity of protein are FF refried beans (after heating, I put low fat sour cream and low fat cheese on it)& low fat liver sausage. Hope that helps a little. I'm having trouble getting all the water in, but I keep plugging away at it. I go to the doc tomorrow for my 1 month check up, and am hoping I get advanced to a soft diet also. Keep on fighting the good fight! Best wishes, Linda

The best I have tasted is the Unjury Choc. Also, the South Beach diet protein bars are very good and have 21 grams of protein and lots of vitamins. I can only eat a half at a time, but they're a good change from protein drinks everyday.
