Hi Lee & Congratulations!!!! This is an awsome journey that we have undertaken, and I am so happy you had a good experience. I prayed that God would bless your surgical team and bring you out of surgery a loser and a winner!! I too, am almost two weeks out, so I know how you are feeling. If you were like me I sent up a lot of prayers, and all of mine were answered. I have not had any pain, no bad symptoms and like you no regrets. My family has been wonderful and the support they have shown has been amazing. I waited until the last minute to tell my Dad (for the obvious reasons - fear), and he has turned out to be my biggest supporter! He went to see a nutritionis the day after I got home from the hospital. And we are not drinking protien shakes together. See how God works. We never know who our lives and words affect. It wasn't until we talked about my reasons for having WLS and my explaining to him how I wanted to reclaim control of my quality of life and health that I saw how supportive my Dad is, and how he explained his concern because of the changes he said had noticed in my health and lifestyle, but was afaid to say anything. (I didn't know he was paying attention.) (sorry to rant) Did you have to go all the way to Ypsi or did you have your surgery here in Royal Oak? The reason I ask is because I wonder how different the after-care programs are between programs. I went through CORI at Harper and they were outstanding. I had my first follow-up appt. and started my protein shakes and full liquid diet. But continue the good work and may God continue to bless you. J/
