I am so grateful

My name is Allie and I have been struggling with weight my entire life. When I found out about this surgery I was a little bit ambivalent. Then after much research I decided to go for it. My first surgery date was scheduled for May 31st of this year. Early May my insurance company decided that I needed more tests and 6 more months of weigh ins, as I followed a medically supervised diet. I had the lap band done on November 15th. I feel great. I am healing well and I have lost 18 lbs so far. I know I am in the right direction to a healthier life which makes me so excited. I also want to say how grateful I am to be able to talk to people in the same situation as me, without judgement. It is such a weight lifted off me to see that other people have the same concerns and problems and that this was the right decision to make. :clap:

Congrats on the surgery! This website has been a total lifesaver for me in my journey. There are ALOT of great people on this board and willin to share anything that might be helpful.
