I did a horrible thing and I am paying dearly for it.... Sunday I didn't drink anything until the afternoon...which caused me to get severly dehydrated...The world was spinning, I couldn't handle anyone close to me and I thought I was going to die. I contacted my doctor's and they told me to force liquids, I felt a little better, but Monday I ended up in ER. They put two bags of saline into my system. Since then I have felt kind of nauseous and icky so I stayed home yesterday...today still off but I am making it through my day. DRINK YOUR WATER!!!!!!! I can not stress how horrible it was...I had thoughts that I did the wrong thing, that I was literally going to die.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. It's scary how quickly we can get dehydrated. If I don't drink anything for more than an hour or two I start getting dizzy. And first thing in the morning I wake up craving water so I concentrate on that more than food or even the protien first thing, that way I know I start my day hydrated. I hope you feel better soon Corinna Q

I totally know how that feels. When I had to go back to the hospital tuesday before last, I was actually in the doctors office when I almost passed out, but my first clue to the whole dehydration thing was that I couldn't remember what the doctor was saying as it was coming out of his mouth. Very scary.

I start drinking first thing in the morning. In fact, I keep ice water next to the bed and I wake up in the middle of the night and drink. I spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but I am doing what the doc says. I was never a water drinker, but I have changed my ways. Thanks for yoour information and I hope you are doing ok.

OMG! That sounds horrible! I was feeling dizzy just this morning. I'm about 16 oz. into a bottle of Gatorade, but yesterday I only got about 2/3 of my liquid in. Right now, I just want to sleep. Thank you for sharing your story. I think it's just the kick I needed to get me to drink more. I'm glad you are starting to feel better.
