1. 3 Weeks 2. Pureed/Soft Foods such as egg salad, liverwurst, liver pate, cottage cheese, saltine crackers (only one with a meal), oatmeal (runny), yogurt, peanut butter, and of course protein drinks. 3. So far nothing has upset my tummy, but I don't have much variety in my diet yet either. Shawn M. 290/263/150

1. Just over 3 weeks 2. Soft foods but not pureed. I'm eating hamburger taco meat and cheese salads, veggie quesadilla, beans and cheese, cottage cheese, apple sauce and still some soups. 3. Nothing has bothered me yet. I do get some gas sometimes that I'm trying to identify if it is from fat in food or what.

4 weeks yesterday I am out. I am just starting soft foods, I have eggs w/cheese protein shakes, cottage cheese, carrots (good for my eyes) sliced thin deli turkey, peas, and ya know I really dont know what to eat, I guess I will just continue with my protein shakes and add a little each day, I guess my real problem is how much of whatever should I eat, I put my cottage cheese at 1/3 cup or 2 or 3 oz Chrisy

My doctor's protocol requires a "full liquid" diet for the first four weeks. However included in the full liquid list, I can also have yogurt, applesauce, and cream of wheat. Next Wednesday, I get to start soft/mushy which will include eggs, tuna, etc. Then the following week I get this G-Tube taken out and my real journey begins! Right now, I just feel like I'm in a holding pattern...waiting...waiting..waiting.

1. almost 3 weeks 2. Still soft foods for another 3 weeks. But I can handle some things that aren't on my okay to eat list like beef so I'm experimenting a little not much though. 3. Eggs (scrambled or cooked anyway but egg salad), oatmeal, and cottage cheese... This really isn't leaving too much that I'm allowed to eat for breakfast... But applesauce is still good so I'm doing just fine, lol

I am 4 weeks out. I am on soft foods... scrambled eggs, cereal with milk, casseroles, I've had taco meat. What didn't sit well was my tater-tot casserole. I haven't had a problem with the rest of the stuff in it but the tater-tots, so I think I will stay away from those. 343/325/140

I am 2.5 weeks out and on soft foods. I eat lots of soups, sweet potatoes, eggs, cream of wheat, crab/shrimp blended with cheese, one cracker with soup, beans and cheese, have had spaghetti w/ground beef and beef stew (sans lots of the spices) so far everything is fine! Michelle 248/228/140

1. How long since surgery? I had my surgery on 11/15 -- I'm 3 weeks and 2 days post op! 2. What are you eating? I'm on full-liquids -- until 12/28 I'm sticking to cream-of-wheat, grits (sometimes) and soups. 3. What didn't sit well with you? No sugar added Carnation Instant Breakfast; made me sick to my stomach Donna ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 304/274/146 Dr. Naaman - Lap RNY 11/15/06

Always interesting to see what the different surgeons and nut's tell people to eat. 1. 11 days since surgery 2. "mechanical soft" is what I started one week post discharge, per doc. Some things I've tried- eggs, ground turkey in spaghetti sauce, deli turkey, chicken salad, cottage cheese, cheese, cream of wheat, green beans, pears in SF syrup, wheat thins, 1/2 slice toasted wheat bread, chicken in crock pot, yogurt, all items off the nut's list- I'm enjoying my afternoon SF/FF Jello pudding made with Unjury protein powder 3. milk- i think it's the lactose thing, I was having bad gas pains, I switched to lactose free milk and I think that did the trick- knock on wood everything else has gone down fine so far
