Peanut Butterscotch Protein Drink
I have been having a really hard time finding a protein drink that I like. I have been reading up on some of the recipies and trying things on my own. I came up with this recipie and really really like it. So I thought I would share it. I use the unflavored protein powder.
1 cup skim milk
1 - 1 1/2 scoops unflavored protein powder
1 tbsp no sugar added peanut butter
2 tbsp sugar free instant butterscotch pudding ( dry)
a small dash of vanilla flavoring
a handfull of crushed ice
In the blender, I mix the milk and the protein powder together first, so the powder wont clump. Then I add everything else and mix up. Mine comes out with a milk shake texture and its really yummy.
This looks great! Thanks so much for sharing. Have you tried it with any other pudding flavors? I sure hope I have some butterscotch pudding mix left. I need to find some new ways to get the protein (and fluids!) in. Have you found any soup recipes? Thanks again for sharing. Keep up the good work! Linda
I havent tried any other pudding recipies but i'm sure those would be just as great. I use the unflavored protein powder so I can just add it to any kind of soup that I eat. I do have the recipie for the Wendys Chili thats been passed around if you dont have it. I also have a few recipies for some protein drink recipies that I have found on this website. You may already have them. I swear trying to get in my protein is ALOT worse of a battle than my food cravings.
I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one with trouble getting the protein in. I like the idea of mixing the isopure with crystal lite iced tea, I found the isopure nasty by itself. I was able to buy the isopure at GNC. I would really appreciate the recipe for Wendy's Chili (are you still on pureed foods-do you puree it? Do you tolerate the beans OK?) and any other recipes that you have found that are good. If you like, you could e-mail them to me at [email protected]. Thank you so much. May you fill your days with protein, fluids, and much happiness.
Thanks for the wonderful recipie. I will try it in 2 weeks when I can add Peanut Butter back in. And I was wondering if you could email me the Wendys Chili Recipie. That would be totally awesome. My program is pretty strict and I need a little variety. [email protected]. Thanks very much and Happy Holidays!
I'll be glad to send it to you. It will be coming from [email protected].
