I'm not doing well. I can get about 40oz of water. Protein is another story, I'm lucky if I get 10g. Very Light walking I dont know the difference if I'm head hungry or really hungry. I am totally board with the liquids I can have, so when I wat it's usually like only a couple 3 ot 4 bites of cream of wheat & them get a "ugg' feeling so I quit eating. But it seems like every time I turn on TV I see yummy food. I'm getting worried, as much as I am a sweet'aholic I can resist the sweets & I'm craving real food soo bad, I'd LOVE a cracker with tuna right now or an egg even & I know it's wrong, but there's always that thought im my mind of "Maybe I can try". Am I the only one who is dealing w/ this?? I feel like such a looser & not in a good way. Surgery Weight 259 Today 239

It IS very hard, and we understand that! You're used to eating things that taste good (and make you feel good) and that's a very hard thing to overcome... but post-op is a whole different world. Please remember that your insides are very fragile at this point... the incisions/staples/stitches need to heal before things work properly again, before your digestive system can handle anything other than liquids... so eating anything your body is not ready to handle could be dangerous! Most Surgeons allow pureed or soft foods at 2 weeks... and from that point on things get considerably better! Hang in there, it will all be worth it!!! Marilyn

I completely understand! I was longing for "crunch" and just wanted to chew something. I found filling a glass with crushed ice and then crystal light and eating it like a snowcone or slushie is very satisfying. If you have "Sonic" drive in where you live they sell bags of crushed ice, I now keep it in the fridge and have it all the time. It has helped me to increase my fluid intake as well.

I was right there with you earlier this week. I was even dreaming about food. Stick with it, though - I woke up a couple of days later and was back to being perfectly fine with liquids. I think this is real hunger PLUS head hunger - and it's going to come and go and come and go. You've had a terrific weight loss! That's GOT to be motivating! Best, Stephanie
