Hi all- I got moved to pureed foods today and feel like the whole world has opened up. I don't know what to eat with so many new possibilities...Can anyone help with ideas for purees? Thanks so much- Joy

Refried beans seems to be a big hit at this stage (and are SO yummy!) Marilyn

Hi Joy, I agree with Marilyn, the refriend beans I had last night with some FF shredded cheddar were just heavenly. I also had cottage cheese for lunch and some yogurt for breakfast. I had problems with the yogurt and can't decide if I dumped or if it was lactose intolerance. I think today I'm going to try some cream soups. Good luck with your journey. Loretta

I have been on pureed foods about 5 days now, and have learned a couple of things to pass on. First of all, I bought myself a Magic Bullet, one of those blender things on the infomercial that guarantees you can cook everything in 10 seconds for the rest of your life. Anyway, it works great. I have been using it to puree rotisseried chicken (especially from Sam's Club - yum) with chicken broth, sometimes with fat free chicken gravy, sometimes with light Miracle whip and chicken broth. I have also scrambled eggs with low fat feta cheese and then cooked them on the stove. I pureed some pinto beans with chicken broth and FF cheddar cheese, but that didn't sit so good. I have a recipe book that suggests pureeing tuna fish with mayo, and eggs with mayo, but I haven't tried that yet. Hope there is something in here for you to try.
