Ok, I am confused with what your Doc said, so much different than what we have all been told. Please post more as soon as you get additional information. BTW-as far as gaining weight dont worry about it, that will be all gone in a few days. I actually gained some weight in the hospital but it is gone now. I cant imagine 17lbs. you must have been miserable. Thanks for the support....... Christy

Dear Christy, I think I am a good example of what people are talking about. I too am 2 wks and 1 day out, and have lost 23 pounds. But I also didn't lose any weight before surgery, and I started out at 328 pounds. I'm feeling pretty at peace about the weight thing, I know that if I do what I need to do, eat as I'm told to, and start exercising to the best of my ability, that weight will come off at the rate it wants to. I need to focus on living my life this time around. Focusing on the weight loss was not helpful or healthy for me in the past, because it became larger than living my life. I couldn't really focus on much else other than how much did I lose, or what did I eat that made me gain, and FEELING SO GUILTY. I'm trusting that I finally did something really positive for myself by following through on this surgery, and I'm not going to sabotage myself by second guessing what my body is going through. Be proud and thankful for all you've accomplished so far! This is quite a journey we're going through, isn't it? We're headed to the promised land! Best wishes, Linda
