Two Weeks Post Op
Well, I'm at my two week point today. I've lost 15 pounds since the morning of surgery which makes a total of 45 since Aug and I'm thrilled. Clothes are getting really loose now. I feel pretty darn good but do get tired fairly easily. I head back to work on Monday so we'll see what that's like. But every day is better. I think the worst thing for me has been riding in the car. All the bouncing and vibrations make me really sore. All of my incisions are healing well and will hardly be noticable once they are completely healed, one of them has already mostly disappeared. I'm getting inventive with my pureed foods and enjoying them. I can't really imagine anything more than that right now. I'm still not really hungry ever but I think that between the three mini meals and two protien shakes a day I am just full all of the time. I do have eye/head hunger though...ads on TV just kill me sometimes. Happily watching other people eat doesn't bother me at all.
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hi Corinna,
I haven't really been eating yet. I did have some cream of chicken soup last night. That is about how adventurous I have been. I am scared of food. I don't want to get sick. My husband says, are you sure you want to eat that. He doesn't want me to get sick either, or go back in the hospital, God forbid!
I totally agree about the commercials on TV. Yesterday, (monday was surgery so that was 5 days out) I saw every subway commercial created, and of course they had most of my favorite subs in them. Now I know I can't have this food, I not hungry, heck 4 oz. of cream of chicken soup filled me up. But that still doesn't count when you see something you really like to eat come across tv. I told my husband last night. Head hunger sucks. However with our new tool we should have some time to overcome our head hunger or at least be able to differentiate between real hunger and hunger because something either smells really good or looks really good. I think if we can learn to do this, there will be nothing standing in our way!
Take care and Keep up the good work!

Sounds like everything is going really well for you! Yay! I hear ya on the head hunger - it's a challenge!
I won't even think about stepping on a scale until I see the doc next week. I have a feeling that I'm up a few pounds because of retaining fluids. Also, I'm eating so little that I think my body is holding on to every ounce it can 'cause it's freaking out.
It's so great that you have had such success in such a short time - remember that when the going gets tough!
Best,
Stephanie
