Home from the hospital!!
I had my surgery on Monday made it home Wednesday afternoon. I went to the store yesterday, just my dh and I got some things that I needed to eat (cottage cheese and stuff like that) which finally got the gas moving in a direction other than up, lol. I had been feeling pretty crappy Wednesday and thursday until then but after I was walking for about 25-30 minutes I found that although I was sore I felt much better. So when our brand new tv broke this morning I went with hubby to get a different one and once again I'm sore but I feel better. I felt so good this morning that I went without my pain meds (was taking them every 4 hours on the dot) for about 6 hours last night and then another 8 hours this morning until we got back from the store (the truck ride did it for me..old truck = bumpy ride, lol). Anyways I'm doing good, not eating very much at all but still eating 3 meals a day at least 4 hours apart. I also actually got my 60 oz of fluids in yesterday with jus****er (I want to wait until this weekend to start the protein shakes they fill me up so much I want to actually get all my fluid in for a day or two first), but not feeling sick at all. I guess that's all for me today, I'm about to have some refried beans for lunch...yum yum. Hope everyone else that had surgery this week is doing well!
Blessings,
Raven
So glad to hear from you! I was worried!!!! I'm glad you are feeling better today. Each day is a little easier! That is so awesome that you are eating refried beans already - my stomach still rebels against jello. Feels like I ate a big blob of glue or something. So I'm still doing liquids for awhile. Talk to you again, soon. Denise
I'm so sorry that I haven't gotten back to you yet. I'm not sitting at the computer much right now...it's either the couch (it reclines) or walking or bed, lol. The only time I'm even in the dining room really is to eat (my girls didn't like me not being in here, lol). I'm glad you are doing good. Yes each day gets a little better. It feels like for me the more I am up and around the better off I seem to be (just have to be careful not to do too much). My husband tried to get me to eat jello after we left the hospital and I was like...OH NO we don't, lol. It's just too sweet for me to eat very often. I'm going to try having that and some sf popsicles while everyone else is having their pie this weekend....hopefully that will stop me from feeling so well....um...I guess deprived is the word I am looking for. It will go away I know, just takes time. I'll try to get back to you today hopefully. Talking to you soon!

I heard that a lot of surgeons did that. My surgeon required a 6 month diet/along with nutrition classes so he isn't real strict with the liquids as we are required to learn so much about eating right before. I think I would go nuts if I had to eat that much jello, lol. I lived of sf popsicles for 2 days though, lol. Thank you for the kind words!
