Post-op full liquid diet??
What have you drank that is considered full liquid? I have read cream soups, yogurt,
runny cream of wheats or oatmeal, protien shakes. Anything else we can have. I have by RNY Nov 6th. So far since pre-op diet to today I have lost 25lbs and am off off med except antidepressant. My PCP was really happy with sugar counts and blood pressure today when I saw him.
Debby
Debby, you are doing GREAT! I count all the things you do. I'm only 4 days out, and so far not bored. But I find a need a really good tasting soup to make me happy. I haven't found a protein drink I'm thrilled with yet, but when I get home and can add real fruit to it, I bet I will.
I got a bunch of samples from Vitalady.com to try for protein. That way I can see what I like and don't like.
Congratulations on your loss!
Don't know if you will like the flavor or not, but right now I am completely jazzed on Campbell's Select Roasted Red Pepper and Black Bean Soup. It's not spicy - just savory. And it's completely smooth - no chunks of anything.
I agree with you on the protein. Some of it's pretty nasty and I hate the after taste. But if I doctor it up enough, I can deal with it just fine.
Best,
Stephanie
I had this today, it is very good. The only thing is my Nut requires us to mix in protein ( an actual chicken breast, passed thru a blender) so to get it back to a soup consistency I had to add some milk. It wasnt bad, I just had to add a little bit of salt at the end.
ok I am sorry that was totally OT
