NYS Empire Plan

Did anyone have this insurance? What was it like and was there problems with approval or payment ? I am in the very early stages of the WLS process.

I have the NYS Empire Plan and they have been great so far. They approved my surgery even though my BMI was 35.5 (I also have sleep apnea, high cholesterol and a few other fun things). I have had this insurance through my husband's job for the last 10 years and I think they are great. I am 2 weeks out of surgery tomorrow. Lots of luck to you! -Dina
