Hi all! Well, after all of that anticipation, I am home. Surgery was Tuesday, lap RNY went well except lots of issues in recovery around waking up and sleep apnea. Apparently my Oxygen and CO2 levels were up and down and everyone was in a panic! So they kept me in recovery for 2 days. Nurses were great, lots of attention. Finally was moved to a room and got home today, Saturday. I feel good. Been up the stairs, peed and pooped, and am sipping protein drinks and water. I am excited to finally be here on the losers side, though ironically when I was weiged today I had gained a pound in the hospital- Fluids, I guess! Anyway, I continue to be amazed by the support shown on this site. Thanks for all prayers and feel free to ask me anything as I continue on...Joy

Glad to hear all is good after a "bump" in the recovery stage! I have mod to severe sleep apnea, so am curious to hear more about the problem you had. Do you typically use a CPAP? Did you have one in the hospital? I was told to being mine with... I hear it's extremely common to come home weighing a few lbs extra but you are right, it's all those fluids and very soon you should start to see the scale doing a big nose-dive!!!! Marilyn
