EGD results

Did anyone's EGD show that they have an ulcer ? I had my EGD on Friday. The doctor didn't talk to me afterwards, but the nurse looked at my chart after I asked and said it showed I have an ulcer. I was given a prescription for Prevacid. I plan on calling the doc's office tomorrow and asking about the results, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has an ulcer and what's happening with their surgery. Loretta

i didnt have an ulcer but through my egd they found grade 1 esphagitis and gastritis they also put me on prevacid and it didnt interfere with my surgery

Mine just showed mild gastritis but I was not put on anything for it. I do have a concern though, that I've heard may stop my surgery: I have developed sinusitis in the past couple of days. I've been medicating myself to death with OTC stuff and it's getting better but not completely gone. Will this stop my surgery? Thanks, Deidrah

hi loretta, i had my egd done on friday also and my surgeon put me on prevacid also and now today a test (clow) was positive and now i am also on an antibodies --but my gastric surgeon says everything will be ok for surgery on nov. 29th. funny you don't have any knowledge of this thing inside of you until testing is done!!! marie
