they have a good program,
any answers?
Hi Rebecca, Do you know who your surgeon is yet? I would defer to the medical center and their staff on what is required or recommended. I think as far as vitamins, everyone knows we need to have a good one and take more than the recommended dose (at least I will) because of malabsorption issues. And with protein, my dr. is recommending Whey protein. There are several types of whey protein. The most easily digested is the whey protein isolate. The next I believe is whey protein concentrate. And the least digestable and least absorbed is collegen whey. So I found a whey isolate to use called Unjury. It comes in unflavored and some flavors. I just hope my tummy likes it after surgery.
I would say to consult with your experts to get their input on what they think is best for you and go from there.
Congrats on getting approved. Hopefully you get a date soon. From what I know about Cori, they are pretty good about getting you in quickly once you are approved. They should have a nutritionist that can help you with your protein and vitamin questions. I had my class lasta wednesday and I was so overwhelmed. I keep going over everything, so I can get it all straight before my surgery. Best of luck to you.
