Newbie Here

hello everyone I just found out about this wonderful site and create a profile. I will be having surgey on Nov 14 at Richmond Kasier in CA. I weighed 287 pounds in March and I am down to 245. My surgeon's goal weight was 250. I will be taking all my classes this week and next. I am excited. Hope to get to know everyone soon..

Hi there, I am having my surgery on November 21, 2006. I am also very excited! You will have to let us know your progress. I am stressing over the 10 day diet I have to do before surgery. Did you have a pre op diet?

I have mine on the 21st toooooo and am very concerned about the pre op diet, I need to start on Tuesday. Have you purchased your protein drinks yet?

Hey Nicole, welcome to OH and to the November board!!! I speak from experience when I say this site is ADDICTING!!! I've learned so much from just browsing other's profiles. I'm also having surgery on the 14th and am on day 2 of the pre-op liquid diet. Do you have to do anything like that? It's amazing how different each Surgeon/program is. Marilyn

I don't have a preop diet but they gave us a 1200 calorie diet to stay on since I started the clinic in Aug. That is why I have lost so much weight. I meet the surgeon tomorrow .

Hello and Welcome, I am a newbie and scheduled for surgery November 14th as well. You are probably getting nervous like me. Well wishes being sent your way.

Girl I am not nervous at all. If they called me to surgey right now I would drop everything and go. I want this so bad I can taste it. I have waited 31 years of my life to be rid of this fat so another 13 days is nothing.... The only thing that scares me is not knowing what my body is going to look like. I have been overweight since age 6. I can only look at my younger sister and think I am going to be something like her. I am slightly tall and have a large bone frame.
