Had my PATS today
Well that all went well, and if that is any idication on how my surgery will go and my life change well then I AM READY! I did learn some great things from the nutritionist on how to read labels for sugar. I now know that eventially I will have lots of wonderful choices for healthy eating and to incorpirate that to my family esp my little girl who is overweight this is going to be AWESOME for all of us. I am so ready and I am stoked about this. I feel if I look at this in a positive way everything is going to be ok! It won't be easy by any means but I know looking at it as a GOOD thing is what is best for me. Good luck to all and God Bless everyone! I AM READY! What has helped me the most is one already being on an excercise program, reading lots of information, having already stopped smoking, and having a wonderful support system from family and friends and I am so greatful how could I even think about disappointing myself or them! WOW, this week is going to go by sooooo slow!!!! Be positive! Love Jackie SE MI November 7th the Big Day...oh I lost 4 lbs since getting a surgery date! WOO HOO
Jackie you do sound ready and man what a great pampering day beforehand. I go for my PATS on 11/7 so I'm not too far behind you. So far I've been so darn busy at work I haven't had a chance to dwell on the time yet, but I'm sure as soon as it gets closer I will.
Have fun with your pampering!

I believe they are the pre op tests. I had an EKG, and ultra sound of my gall bladder, blood work, and a nutrition class, blood pressure. I was feeling very anxious and nervous and scared until I had that nutrition class. I can't wait until Tuesday I am very happy I made this decision. My nurse called to tell me my surgery is at 6 am on Tuesday and I asked her if Dr was a morning person, he is WHEW! I will be on line on the 8th when I get home. Good luck to you!
