November 28th is my date
Thank you everyone -- reading the different post have truly been an inspiration during this phase of getting insurance approval. The approval was done within 1 week (BCBS/PPO); however, I decided to have the surgery during my slow season. Anyway, I am so excited that my day is coming. On November 21st, I go for Pre-Ops. I'll get through this Thanksgiving; but am looking forward to Christmas being a totally new experience.
Thank you for replying - you're my first reply. I've been drinking the Protein shakes to get use to the taste; but I don't think I'll have to do liquids -- just eat light for a couple of days prior and do the major clean out on the day before.
November 10th - that's a good date as well. I will pray for you that the surger goes great!!!

Hi Sigourney! Welcome to the board and congrats on a date. You are just one day after me. Still doesn't really seem real to me yet, but I have all my pre-op crap this coming Wednesday so I am sure it will start to seem real then. I am going to have to do an 8 day liquid diet prior to my surgery, you sure are lucky that you don't have to do that over Thanksgiving like I do. But it will be well worth it in the end. I can't wait for that day to get here. Exactly one month from today. Woooooo Hoooooo!!!!!
Well, anyway, congrats agin and best of luck to you when you make it to the losers bench.

Shawn: I still have to pinch myself sometimes. I just the doctors -- my sciatic nerve in the lower back was acting up and I was afraid initially that something would interfere with my surgery. The doctor gave me an adjustment and I feel fine.
Congratulations to you as well -- The Holidays will be rough; but hey, "I've eaten enough Turkey in my lifetime.
