What kinds of protein have you tried?
Hi JJ,
I haven't tried any as of yet, I went to wally world and bought sum of theirs, I got a can each of nonflavored, chocolate, and vanilla. They say our taste will probably change after surgery...what we like now, we probably wont like afterwards. So, I'm kinda waiting till then. Hopefully I'll like one of them !! The unflavored is to put in the cream of soups.
Not much help I'm afraid, but that's what I'm doing.
Huggs & Blessings,
Lori
So far I have only tried the one that is bought at Costco. I can't remember the brand.... it is something like Sports Pharma or something like that. I drink that everyday already.
I do have a ton of samples though that I got at vitalady.com
I have not tried them though because I have heard so much talk about how our taste will change after surgery. I will do all my sampling afterward. I don't want to buy a big container of anything until I know I will like it.

I ordered Nectar - Apple Ecstacy and Fuzzy Navel
I hope I like them, the blurb for Nectar says that you would want to eat the powder with a spoon it 'tastes so good'
so I hope it will be ok for me.
You dont get a lot of choice in Australia, the only place I could get the nectar is online, none of my local health food stores carry it (or would order it in)
Hey Shawn... I love your new avatar
Okay...protein a big pain in my big booty...lol. I tried the Nectar Cherry and Lemonade. I ended up tossing the Cherry cause it smelled like dirt and started tasting like garbage towards the end when it was coming "unmixed". The Roadside lemonade was good but I learned my lesson with the smell...I mixed it with Crystal Light (lemonade) and I drank it from a covered cup. Problem solved...lol. Ummm...I've tried the one from Walmart (Body Fortress something or another) and it was decent. I like the vanilla, I mixed it with pudding and it was excellent. But the winner of my taste test ended up being Protein Delight Chocolate Coconut...it tastes like a Mounds bar. I mixed it with Lactose free Fat Free milk and blended it with ice...it was like drinking a frappuchino..so good. It's affordable too, 1.1 pound for under $15 and 2 pounds for about $23.
I think I'm kinda gaggy when it comes to drinking stuff with a weird texture...so this protein thing is making me crazy...lol
