Hi everyone!

I just got my date today and I can finally post to a surgery date forum...lol. My date is November 13th at 5 am! I can't wait. I'm getting more and more excited as the minutes pass by! Oh...so horrible of me...I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Dana, 25, started this process in June 2006 (went to my surgeons seminar) and I am finally having my surgery in less than a month. I've been very blessed to have gone through this process with relative ease and I know my surgery will be the same, only by the blessings of the Lord. I'll be having Lap RNY. Happy rebirth, yall! I can't wait to meet more folks going through what I am going through. Have a great Thursday yall...I know this has made my day, month, everything! Dana

Hi Dana! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm Shannon, 30. I started the process in August 2006... and our surgery dates are the same! I am having lap band. Perhaps, we'll can chat it up on here on the Tuesday or Wednesday after surgery!

Hi Shannon!! Congrats to you too! I'm super excited, for me and for you too...lol. Wow you got your date realllllly quickly! So lucky I'd love to chat with back here after surgery....I hope my hospital has internet access...I'll be so bummed if they don't. I know I'll end up overpacking...lol....I'm so bad at that. I want to bring my laptop, but I know I probably won't end up using it or so I've heard. What do you plan on bringing? Dana

I'm only going to be in the hospital overnight, so I don't think I'll be bringing too much, lol. The hospital I'm staying in has wireless internet, so I plan on bringing my laptop, too. Supposedly the rooms at the hospital I'm staying in are super nice, so I will be pretending I am at a fabulous hotel!!

Dana, Welcome to November - it is VERY exciting - I starting in June too I was scheduled to have my surgery 10/9 - but i got a cold and it has been rescheduled for 11/6 almost 2 weeks away Congrats! hus, Britt

Hey Britt November is better than September..lol...just kidding. It felt like it took sooo long, but I know it was an average wait (5 months) and I know many folks have to wait much longer. Congrats to you too! What kind of surgery are you having? Dana
