Here I am playing the waiting game. My surgery will be on November 7- It feels like forever! Any suggestions of how to not go crazy during this time??? Thanks- Joy

I am in the same boat. I was actually scheduled to have my surgery 10/9 but I caught a cold and it had to be canceled and rescheduled Oh well, Now I am back to "waiting" ... not fun. My NEW DATE 11/6 I have three small kids so they keep me pretty busy. But, I am trying to organize my house, get rid of my old summer clothes that will not fit me next year - and read even more about surgery and after. I am using this time to get some things done of my "to do list" also I have taking myself totally off of caffine - I did it gradually . So I don't get a caffine withdrawal headache. I bought a magic bullet, got my protien supplements, a pill crusher, gas x strips, tylenol, vitamins, crystal light, Divinci SF syrups to add to pritien drinks. get at much done as you can now ... so you don't have to worry about it later. I hope that helpS, Britt

I have been doing a lot of what Britt did. Although I just got my date for the end of November. I have my protein stuff, I have my vitamins, I have my calcium, I have my broths and clear liquids, I am off caffine and almost off pop. I have six kids, so they are definitely keeping me busy. We are trying to get our house ready to list for sale, so I am busy packing things up and putting them in storage along with painting, and washing walls and doors and patching walls. I am sure I can keep busy, I just hope that I do. I guess getting yourself ready for post-op life would be the best thing to keep you busy. Good Luck and I hope the time goes by quickly for you.
