Topic: Constipation
I've dealt with constipation since I was pre-op but post-op, especially in the last four months, it's been a killer. I take five stool softeners a day + I eat a Meatmucil cinamon fiber bar thing. This week I've taken Milk of Magnesia twice and today I'm miserable again. I'm working to keep my water intake up but I am miserable. Any suggestions?

I've been stuck many times. I upped my protein and my exercise (especially the cardio) and pretty much went back to total basics on eating. It did work and my Dr told me to expect things to slow down or stop as time passes, then things will begin moving again. It IS frustrating I know. Recently I dropped about 6 lbs in a matter of days and suddenly I look different again, so believe me, it does start up, sometimes you just have to tweak things to get your body going. Good luck! Congratulations Janet...you look GREAT! The slow road can be a pain, but still awesome like you said. I'm right there with you on 10 lbs a month (give or take) and if I continue I can be at goal in November too. Isn't this tool a wonderful thing? Christine

Topic: RE: Major slow in weight loss?
Hi Angel, I think I lose differently than most. I will go 3-4 weeks in a stall, then all of a sudden in a week or two I will lose between 6-10 pounds. That is how it has been from the beginning. I still have lost 81 pounds, and from a size 22 pants now to a 12 and will be in a 10 very soon. I will take whatever my body will give me and loving every bit of it. I have 26-46 to go. I think you are probably also in a stall, just go back to the basics as everyone says and get your vities and protein and water in and exercise, and watch your portions. Best of luck to ya, you can do it. Shannon Arnold 257/176/130???
