Topic: RE: Day 3: No Excuse Exercise Challenge
Thanks Reneka, I got a late start today.
My Goal:
Exercise 4 days for 1 hour.
Progress:
Day 1: Elliptical 30 minutes, Walking 30 minutes
Day 2: Elliptical 25 minutes, Walking 35 minutes
Day 3: BREAK
My stomach muscles are so sore. I think it is from holding in my stomach while I walk. I hope that helps it to go down.
All of you are really doing well. Keep up the good work.

ALRIGHT!!
I know I said last week I was going to DO THIS.... It's Wednesday and I'm getting serious. I'm getting off work early today, running a few errands, and then I'm coming home to walk for 45 minutes, some UP HILL!
I did go on a rigorous walk Sunday while out at my dad's house in the country.
When am I ever going to get to the point of NOT hating to exercise??
Thanks everyone, for being here! It really helps!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Topic: RE: what is everyone eating???
Hi Christine,
I don't let myself get into a rut and try to make sure I've got lots of food choices around me, home and work, so I don't get tempted to SPLURGE... (confession: I was out of town this weekend and ate a white chocolate macademia nut cookie!! boy was I sick afterward!!! YUCK)
I've added more fresh fruit lately, especially since it's so fresh and ripe right now. A ripe, juicy, sliced peach can cure the craving for anything sweet! I'm also loving fresh cherries, pineapple, and watermelon.
My support group is putting together a cookbook so I have been reading more recipes lately and figuring out how to covert them so they are WLS friendly. Less fat, less sugar, more whole grains and veggies along with the protein.
I haven't tried beer yet, mostly due to another post-op scaring the crap out of me when she told of taking a swig and ending up in the hospital with dehydration after throwing up and foaming non-stop.
How about the exercise? This makes all the difference!!
Keep on going... you're getting so close!
Hugs,
Tammy

Goal for the week: 4 days of at least 45 minutes of activity (I'm on the road until Wednesday, so I may as well be realistic)
Completed Monday: Walked 2+ miles in downtown Chicago, plus spent 11 hours on my feet at the trade show. My hip joints are achy.
Completed Tuesday: Walked 1.5 miles at lunch and 2 miles at dinner, plus spent another 10+ hours on my feet. Thank God I just need to manuever my way through airports tomorrow. I haven't been in a cab since Sunday...just walking everywhere I can.
Blessings from Chicago,
Jennifer

Topic: 8 months - 161.4 lost
I can not believe that in 8 months, I am 1/2 of my original size. I was 301.4 on surgery day and I am down to 140 now and "acceptable weight."
I am SO ready for plastic surgery. I am trying to get the TT paid by insurance and I will be paying for the "girls" out of pocket.
Is anyone else looking at PS now? It's hard to believe how far I have come in such a short period of time. I can not wait until after PS
