Shanell;
Count me in for week 2! I haven't lost any weight this week even with all the added activity, but I feel better and know the scale will follow.
I'll post today's activity later (once I know what it is
).
Blessings,
Jennifer

OK Ladies, so how did we do? I really felt encouraged this week. You all have given me new ideas when it comes to exercising. I'm seriously thinking about running, but I HAVE to get a good support bra. I've been bowling twice this week, yesterday and today. I have decided to count that as exercise, because it really is an activity. I'll probably join a league, so I can socialize and workout at the same time.
One thing that I have gained from WLS is the freedom to "try" anything I want. I don't have any limitations that I once felt. My back and knees don't hurt all of the time and my energy is amazing. OK, I'll get off of my soapbox.
Should we take a week off or continue for a second week? I personally want to continue. Let me know what you think.
My Goal:
Exercise 4 days for 1 hour.
Progress:
Day 1: Elliptical 30 minutes, Walking 30 minutes
Day 2: Elliptical 25 minutes, Walking 35 minutes
Day 3: BREAK
Day 4: Elliptical 30 minutes, Walking 30 minutes
Day 5: 50 minutes of bowling by myself
Day 6: Elliptical 30 minutes, plus I bowled for 3 hours with 3 other people
Day 7: ???

Goal for the week: 4 days of at least 45 minutes of activity (I'm on the road until Wednesday, so I may as well be realistic)
Monday: Walked 2+ miles in downtown Chicago, plus spent 11 hours on my feet at the trade show.
Tuesday: Walked 1.5 miles at lunch and 2 miles at dinner, plus spent another 10+ hours on my feet.
Wednesday: In addition to running through airports, I did 50 minutes on the treadmill.
Thursday: Tried a new class at my gym tonight called Body and Soul. It was as though you did a fusion of salsa and hip-hop dancing and just kept moving for a full hour. I was sweating so bad when it was over, I actually took off my t-shirt and drove home from the gym in just my sports bra and shorts.
Friday: 55 minutes on the treadmill at 3.3-3.8 mph and inclines varying from 3.9-10.9. I'm getting to the point I'm having trouble making my heart rate targets without the massive inclines.
Saturday: Swam at the pool for about an hour.
Blessings,
Jennifer

Topic: RE: Ok:o)...It has been ...
Congrats!
I have been searching for a job for the last 2 months. I bought some size 14 interview pants when I first started searching. Then I had to buy 12's. Almost to the point of having a job and now down to 10's! I HATE that I didn't get to wear the 12's to "work" but that's ok!!
I buy them at goodwill. VERY nice looking dress pants for practically nothing so I don't feel so bad at wearing them only a few weeks. Love it!!
Keep up the great work Susan! Bye bye plus sizes!

I am down 96 since surgery and feel fantastic! I want to go on a roller coaster too! Actually, I told my husband today that I wanted to go horse back riding. Haven't been able to go for 21 years!

Hi surgery twin! Boy - Do I know how you feel about a rut! And now...it is sooo easy to eat so many things! We HAVE to keep making good choices! You know what needs to be done! Skipping the saltines is a good step in the right direction. I agree with everyone else. Search out some veggies that you would like to have, fruits and add them to your protein. It's a challenge that is for sure. But you can do it! So close! Good luck and best wishes!

Topic: RE: Hubby not attracted to me anymore :(
My husband and I have been married 26 years. I know how you feel. You would think after all these years that we would know what your spouse feels. We met when we were teens and married at 20. I was thin then. Only became obese after my second child. My hubby is happy that I am getting back to where I was when younger. Even though he is practically 75 lbs or more heavier than when we married. But as I lose weight I find that things aren't going back to their usual spot where they were when I was younger! haha
I am self conscience about it. He says he is ok with it. After 20-25 lbs more to lose will he still be ok with it? I have no idea. Marriages mature like ours endure because we communicate with each other. Keep talking to him. Let him voice his opinion without any backlash. Let us know how it goes.

Down 96 lbs since Nov. 7th, 118 since low fat diet before surgery. I am now averaging 8-10lbs per month. Only 20-25 to go! Anything lower would only be icing on the already fabulous cake. Good luck Nov. babies! Keep up the great work!
