My lapband surgery anniversary is 11/22/05. I have lost 111 lb so far and have only 13-23 lb to go based on the BMI chart.
I started as a 3x/women's 22 and am now a 12 pants, 12-14 skirt and lg size shirt/top. I have reduced from a 42DD bra to about a 36C (I am not sure as my size 38C is too big, so I am estimating).
I am skinnier than I have ever been and have muscles from working out with my trainer 3x/wk. The negatives are that I have gotten severe nausea and vomiting from allergies this spring and now this fall. The summer and winter went fine, but the nausea is really bad now. It seems the band does not like pollen. The other negative is the saggy skin that excercising has not totally taken care of. I do not want cosmetic surgery, but am now considereing it. Otherwise, the band is the best thing I have done for myself in a long, long time.

Hi Ladies.... Got 3 weeks to my surgery anniversary. Been stuck at a very long plateau, but keeping a positive attitude. Pounds are dropping slowly, but are dropping. Exercise is in my routine, 4 times a week and loving it! I still struggle with food choices, with protein being my main choice, I need to go back to journalling to be sure I get to goal.
My stats:
Day of surgery weight...282
Today...176
Lbs from goal (or are you at goal?)...17 (or 24 to MY goal)
Top size pre-op...3x-4x
Today...Misses Large or XL
Bottom size pre-op...26 / 28
Today...16' Ladies
Bra size - pre-op 44DD
Today - 38C .
Biggest positive change other than weight/size...I can get on the floor and play with my granddaughter. I can walk circles around my 27 yo daughter at the Patriots games.
Biggest not so positive change other than weight/size...I'm always cold!!!!!!! I now sleep with socks on!!!
Best WOW to date...There have been a few. One of the funniest recently, I was at Brooks, looking for pantyhose. Haven't had to buy them since I got a 4X. As I put my glasses on to read the weight charts on the package, a woman who works there came by and asked if I needed help deciding. I said yes, and she volunteered "Ma'am, you're a medium - no question". I should have listed to her, I got home with the Large pantyhose and the crotch drooped all day.
Keep up the great work ladies. (and gentlemen if there are any.....)

Biggest positive change other than weight/size...I'm more comfortable in new situations. I don't get anxious that others will judge me as a bad person because of my weight.
Biggest not so positive change other than weight/size...I got caught up in feeling so good that I really neglected my job and my husband.
Best WOW to date...I saw skinny in the mirror last Wednesday. I was walking with a co-worker of mine to a hotel elevator and there was a mirrored wall as we approached the elevators. From the front, she and I are the same width. She's a size 4. That was an awesome WOW!
Blessings,
Jennifer

Hi Sherry,
Congratulations on your weight loss!! You are doing fantastic!!
I'm still stuck and it's been about 3 months now. I am down to 176, and still exercising 4X week (2 cardio sessions @ gym for 45 minutes each, one session at Curves and one water aerobic class.) I feel good, and am so thankful for this surgery. If I don't ever lose another pound, I'm happy where I am. I am fitting into size 16's comfortably (from 26-28). They tell me this will budge eventually, but I'm trying to stay positive.

Hello everyone
How time flies I can't believe my one year surgiversary will be approaching on 11/21. It is the best thing I could have choosen to have done to live a long, healthy and happy life.
Here are my statistics:
Weight day of surgery: 252
Today : 145
Goal weight: 137 8 more lbs to go. I am now looking into PS and 8 lbs I am sure will be removed if not more.
Top Size:
Before :3x
now: Misses medium sometimes small I still have fairly large windsocks now instead of breasts (LOL)
Bottoms:
Before :26/28 stretch pants only wore elastic waists back then
Now: size 10 levi jeans and they feel great!
Positive changes: I am able to keep up with my three active children. This past summer we all went to Disney World. I was able to get on all the rides and walk all day long in the parks. I could have never done that a year before.
Not so positives: I hear you I am always cold and I sweat my family out by turning on the heat and refusing to turn the a/c up high in the summer. The hanging skin bothers me also and mine is not as bad as some other peoples.
My wow momen****ing the 100lb loss mark.
Keep up the great work!

Best WOW to date...I can't decide, there have been so many and they are all special in their own way
Come share your success!
