Hey Starla!
I'm glad you posted...you are NOT a failure...look at your stats! The size changes alone are incredible! Then there's the diabetes, PCOS and med changes...those are the most important changes to your life over weight loss.
If you are having other medical issues, your weight loss will be affected and you're not a failure, you just hit a bump in the road that might take time to get over.
I LOVE your WOW...that is tooooo funny!
Keep us posted on your progress and good luck with your medical issues!
Christine

4 calcium
1 iron
1 hair and nail (that one I added myself)
Pat

I think it depends on what our bodies need. I have to take a few more than others and were prescribed by my wls surgeon and my rheumotologist.
Mine are:
2 multi-vitamins
2 calcium citrate
1 iron
1 zinc
1 choline & inositol
1 B-12 complex w/folic acid
1 colms forte (for insomniacs, much better than taking ambien)

Okie dokie, I'll post mine. I do feel like I'm one of those who failed this surgery though my setbacks have been from other health issues. My doc seems to be of the same opinion too.
Day of surgery weight...283 (291 at consult)
Today...205
Lbs from goal (or are you at goal?)...65 (goal is 140)
Top size pre-op...32 when I weighed 328, 26 at time of surgery
Today...16 or L/XL
Bottom size pre-op...same as tops
Today...12/14petite
Shoe....11W
Today...8 1/2N
Bra....54I
Today...40DD
Ring...10 1/4
Today...7 1/2 (bought a silver band at Walmart until I know what size I'll need.A jewelery recommened that I only rezise my ring 1 time because the setting is so intricate)
Biggest positive change other than weight/size...I'm off half of the medications I was taking. No more diabetes and my PCOS is in remission.
Biggest not so positive change other than weight/size...I've lost so much in my legs, that they aren't supporting my upper body. I'm all big tummy now, the rest looks boney, lol. Makes buying clothes a real challenge. Exercising is difficult too, plus I'm getting cortisone injections in my spine, taking steriods and might have to start using a walker until I can have plastics to remove the excess skin around my middle. Second one, my hair has fallen out again and this time lots of it went. I'm darn near bald!!
Best WOW to date...Is also my funniest moment. I went home to Texas this summer to spend 6 weeks with my parents. My dad came to pick me up. I stood in front of him saying "Dady" and he kept looking around for me. I had to wave my hand in his face and grab his shirt before he realized it was me.

Well, I'm a little over a month away from my 1 year anniversary, and there have been so many positive changes in my life. What a wonderful tool this is.
Highest weight 358lbs
Day of Surgery weight 286lbs
Today weight 172lbs
My Dr set my goal at 193lbs (which seemed high for me) so I'm 11 pounds under that goal. My goal was 175lbs so I'm 3 pounds under that YEAH!!!! MY next goal is to hopefully get to 158lbs so I can say that I have lost 200lbs.
Top size 5-6x
Top size now Med-Lge
Pant size 4-5x
Pant size now 14
Bra size 52c/d
Bra size now 38b
Biggest positive change- Being able to so so much more, climb steps ladders and not be afraid if the ladder will hold me. Run!!!
Biggest not positve change-- Hair loss ( still having a problem with that ) , always being cold and having too low of blood pressure ( still having medicing adjusted). Sagging skin (YUCK!!!)
Best WoW!-- I've had quite a few... HItting and surpassing my goals.. 300lbs, 250lbs, 200lbs, 193 (dr goal), 175lbs (my goal)... getting any positive comments from family, friends and co-workers...

I too think that seems like a lot of vitamins. I take
2 multi vitamns
4 calcium citrate (not carbonate)
2 x per week b-12 (GNC)
If you get a good multi it will probably have most of the other vitamins in it

Lbs to goal 40
Started with a 24-28 pants and 2-3x top
am currently in a 14-16 pants and x-xl top

Biggest not so positive change...........
I have been having problems with a drop in energy, and there seems to be no reason for it.
Best WOW to date........................
I think the best was getting below 200lbs,
I hadn't been below 200 since my teens.
Topic: RE: Vitamin question

Come on in and post your stats! It doesn't matter how much you've lost or haven't lost...the fact that you are changing your life is what counts!
