I had surgery on Nov. 2, 05 and have lost a total of 50 lbs. so I know how your feeling. I have not lost anything since Febuary. I can eat and eat and never feel full and I don't dump very often either. I feel like a failure and need a big kick in the butt to get a kickstart!!! If you would ever like to talk, just email me please.

Topic: 1 year surgiversary
Hey fellow November surgery friends...I am 1 year out today. I started at 321 pounds and am down to 197. I would like to have made my goal of 150-160 but it will come. I am going to make some changes next week and hopefully jump start my weightloss.
Congratulations to everyone else who has made it this far. This surgery has given me life back. I am no longer on any blood pressure meds, my cholesterol is normal and I can breathe so much better. I would do this again in a heart beat.

Nothing to be embarrassed about at all! You have done wonderful! 52 pounds is 10 1/2 - 5 pound bags of sugar. Have you ever seen 10 bags of 5 pounds sugar stacked up one on top of the other? That, my dear, is a tall stack!!! You no longer are carrying that around with you wherever you go! WAHOO!!!
Each journey is different for WLS patients. Only you know your habits. One of my bad habit is that I haven't been journaling for awhile now, and I've been slipping on eating more quick foods than nutritional foods. I have 10 - 15 pounds that I want to lose before New Years so I am going to do the plateau buster diet that someone posted here. I'm sure if you're interested someone can send it your way!
Final note, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We all have struggles. Like we all knew before surgery, this surgery is only a tool. We have to re-learn how to control our portions and will always have to avoid certain foods. Lately I've been slipping back into old habits, but am fighting with all my strength to nip these habits in the bud now before I start gaining weight.
E-mail anytime and if you want a journal buddy, let me know!

Congrats to you. I'm sure you will lose the additional 5 or so pounds after your ps. otherwise, look at where you came from and I'm sure you can live with an additional 5 lbs in your life
Topic: One year today!
Hi everyone,
Today is my 1 year anniversary! It is so hard to believe that it has been a year as it seems like yesterday I was crying in the bed on my first night in so much pain and full of regrets. 1 year later, I've gone from a size 30 to a size 4 and have lost 167 pounds and have NO REGRETS! I still want to lose 15 pounds but I am having PS in January and I'm hoping to have about 10 pounds cut off.
