My surgeons office uses the weight I was when I went in for my pre-surgery appointment, which is a few lbs more than I was pre-op and less than what I was when I first started losing weight. When anyone (other than the surgeons office) asks what my weight loss is I tell them "35 since surgery for a total of 65" I always round to the next highest 5lbs, unless I have been to my GPs office..... that is where I first weighed in when I started the "3 month insurance requirement". And I consider is scale my "official weigh-in" even though I weigh myself at home every monday evening. Basically, you aren't the only one being driven crazy! LOL janet

All fruit is now my fav food. Watermelon, apples, pineapples, & oranges go down the easiest. I as well eat a lot of sushi. And seafood which I always have hated goes down easy and is very yummy! Christine 314/229/165 Surgery date 11/2/05

Hi Karen, My surgeon counts from the final weigh in pre-op, but say's we lost the weight and should count the pre-op loss as our own personal weight loss goals. My insurance co. told me I needed to lose 20 pounds so start trying. Before I ever meet my surgeon I lost 22 #'s. That is recorded in my medical chart with my p.c.p. My surgeon told me I had to lose an additional 30 #'s pre-op. I lost a total of 66 #'s pre-op. I lost the weight and I will claim the loss. I do put it down as my highest weight. Then my pre-op weight, then current weight. It may get confussing, but you did lose it so give yourself credit for your loss. God bless you, Annette 378/213/ 272/??? Highest/pre-op/current/ goal

I count all of it. I actually lost 9.5lbs before my first office visit and then 6lbs between my first office visit and surgery day. I count all of it. I didn't at first but then my DH got on to me about it saying I worked as hard or harder for the amount lost before surgery. I figure he's right and count it all. Annette

I have lost 62 pounds and just cant wait to get under 200!!!!!!!! I dont think I drink enough liquid and that scares me........I also hate ALL protein shakes, but do like the DANNON smoothies but they have more sugar than I would like to have............. Anywhoo, Im sooooooooo thankful to have all you folks along on this journey!!!!!!!!!! I am not able to get to my local support group so this really helps me!!!!!!!!! xoxoxox Bethany 266/204/???
