Janet; Call your surgeon or nutritionist and discuss your concerns with them. Are you consistently losing weight or have you had any stalls? I had my surgery the same day as you. I started at 253, was 241 day of surgery and now weighed in at 200 last Tuesday. So it looks like we've both lost about 40 lbs. since day of surgery. I've been stalled the last two weeks, but 200 is also a very comfortable weight for me. I weighed this for three years withou****ching my diet or doing much exercise. I figure my body is kind of "evening out" after the quick initial loss. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 200 / ???

I weighed myself minutes before I left for the hospital so I knew where i would be at with my scale. I weighed in 4 pounds heavier than what my dr.'s office said i did and I'll tell you what... I count those 4 pounds from my scale in my total loss... heck I deserved them! Kim

I would count every single pound lost anyway, anyhow, anywhere!!! But, much like Bethany, I wasn't one of the "good" people who lost prior to my surgery, so my loss of 55 lbs. is strictly since my WLS. Unfortunately, I, too, had many "last suppers"!!!! *Kam*

I am kinda frustrated, I feel like I am not losing enough. I started out at 300 lbs, I weighed 270lbs the night beofre surgery and am now between 230-235 lbs. I know part of it is that my drs diet progression is much faster than many physicians. The nutritionist I work with warned me that things may seem slower in the short term than others, but in the longterm my weightloss will be the same. How do I know if I am on track? I don't see my surgeon again until may. Thanks, Janet
