Topic: beat up by Denise Austin
I just got my butt kicked by Denise Austin via my DVD player!! *wiping sweat off my forehead* Dang...how does that woman do that??? I got a cardiac workout with resistance bands (it's actually pretty good) but dang, I had to throw the bands aside and just try to keep up. I feel like I just got beat up by a bully!!! Well....here's hoping in a month I'll come in here and tell you all I BEAT HER!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Topic: RE: no excuse exercise week 3
Hi all! I have been exercising, but slacked off last week and am paying for it this week. I am at another stall (my second, sigh) but I did it to myself. I was really doing well and just got lazy this past week... went shopping, cleaned house and decided that since i was busy, I didn't need to exercise. WRONG!!!
I am doing some weights today and back to the videos tomorrow. I use Leslie Sansone.. I like the way she does things.. not too complicated, not too fast. I have 2 Walk Away the Pounds tapes and a 2004 tape Firm Up Fast all by her.. they are all great. I also have a Winsor Pilates basics and beginner tape (I buy all of this stuff from Ebay) so I have no excuse except being lazy!! Carpe Diem! (sieze the day!) Jacki K

Hey Pete!
Congratulations on the milestone!!

85 pounds is Fantastic
I'm also impressed with your workout... I do some upper body strength training with physical therapy due to a dislocated shoulder and then walking on the treadmill. I may get adventurous and try another machine... I was always afraid of hurting myself or looking like a fool before.
I don't due much stomach stuff yet either due to a hernia from a previous surgery scar. Just a little twisting and stretching.
Keep it up!
Tammy

Topic: RE: Anyone else dizzy?
I was dizzy too for the first month or so but it went away and i also noticed that the prescriptions the doc gave me after the surgery had a side effect of dizziness so im guessing that is what is was for me. So you might want to check your prescriptions if your taking any right now. T.J.
Topic: RE: Anyone else dizzy?
When I was maybe 4 weeks post-op I was so dizzy I couldn;t even stand up. I spent two days in the hospital and it was all from being dehydrated. Who knew that being dehydrated could mess your body up that bad
Drink* Drink*Drink* then make sure you drink some more!

Topic: RE: NOVEMBER 7TH SURGERY BUDDIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be the first Nov. 7th guy to post. I'm doing GREAT and feeling GREAT. I've struggled with how much and what to eat a little. I'm still hungery at times but it might be a mind thing. I struggle with meat if it's not really tender. Suger Alcohol in some suger free treats kill me. This constipation stuff is a real bummer. I'm at the health clud 4 days a week. Olyptical was my enemy but now I'm going 3 miles 4 times a week at level 7. Takes me just over 30 minutes. I'm doing lifting also. No stomach stuff yet...I'm scared to. I started at 384 and I weighed in at 299 yesterday. I'm finally under 300!!!!!!! It's been a long time.
Topic: RE: Sisters and Bothers.... -57lbs
Hi...I had my surgery 11/4 and I have lost 60 pounds....feel great...but...can't seem to see the difference that others see. I have had no problems except that I don't exercise enought....bought a new bike last week and then this weekend we are in an ice storm here in Mississippi...but...I am looking forward to pretty weather so I can go for rides through our downtown area at night....LOVE IT
Topic: RE: I am new to the board....
Congrats for losing 15lbs. prior to surgery....and you should definitely count those pounds in your total weight loss (although not in pounds lost since surgery)!! I, on the other hand, ate many "last suppers", and did not lose an ounce prior to surgery. The good news is my doctor didn't require me to (although it may not have mattered).

Take care...........
