Topic: 3 mo dr. follow-up
Well...I found out that my starting weight was 328 not 327 according to the docs records...I'll take it cuz that put me at an offical 60lbs lost! Woo hoo Doc would like to have seen a little more of a loss (5 more pound to be exact to make it a -65 loss) BUT I feel wonderful, and my labs look spectacular. So, we went over everyhthing and I asked him "what should I be doing differently?" and he said.....are you ready for this....I am exercising TOO MUCH LOL We talked about my routine and I'm going to make a few adjustments and see how it affects my rate of loss. I also saw the nut and went over my diet. She was very happy and said this sums it up: I'm consuming about 800 calories, 88 grams of protein (only 20 of which is from supplement WHEY), and my fat/carbs ect are right on track! I'm also doing great on my fluids and vitamins. So, I think things went quite well I'm going to continue to focus on eating properly, getting the right amount/consistant exercise, taking my vitamins/supplements, and drinking my fluids. I think I finally trust my body to do what it is doing...and I REFUSE to let the amount of my WL control my positive self image. I hope that everyone else has a positive and uneventful 3 month follow-up visit too. Tanya Lap RNY 11/17/05 328/268/???

Topic: RE: I am looking for a good scale.
Hi, If you didn't get a scale yet, AVON has a great one. Not only does it give your weight and fat( BMI), but your hydration level and bone density. You can program information for up to 10 people in it. Everyones get a number. I love it. The price isn't bad either. I paid $39.00. It is only one pound off of my doctors. And it is so thin and light weight. But I can live with that. Hope you find what you need. Hugs, Sarah

Topic: RE: Quick stabbing pain on left side
Hi Beth, I had that same pain for about a month. I finally called for an appointment and they couldn't find anything wrong. I was told it was possibly a pulled or strained muscle. They told me to put heat on it 3 times a day and see what happens. So I did. It went right away in 2 days and I have not been bothered with it since. I am not a doctor but just wanted to share this with you. Good Luck, Hugs, Sarah

Topic: RE: What Are You Guys Eating?????
tina, wow it was interesting to see what ppl r eating and i even got some good ideas. glad u asked this!! as for me im still eating yogurt or omlets for breakfast. my friend (which is also post op) told me bout her deli roll ups. u take some lunch or deli meat thinly sliced and spread some cream cheese on it. then roll it up and wha~la... and its not bad. i have egg salad sometimes but i got burnt out on it so i havent had it in awhile. i eat alot of shrimp and i can even eat some steak cut up in tiny bites. me and chicken just arent agreeing right now. o i been on a sour cream kick so i have had some 'nachos' lately. and i still eat some cottage cheese too. i also do protein shakes everyday to help with my protein levels if needed. when i HAD to have a crunchy snack ive had alittle chex mix or ive even tried some banana chips. not much though at one time. hope this helps and try the roll ups~~not too bad if u like cream cheese. lisa -50 lbs -68.5 inches
