Topic: RE: Anyone else taller?
Sarah; I've heard that because one doesn't have as much weight pulling down on the spine, it is not as compressed and therefore, you can become taller after WLS. There's several people that I've read in their profiles that they'd gotten taller post-op although most of them were .5"-1". Nearly 2" seems like a lot, so I wonder if I just wasn't being measured correctly before? Plus, the last time my height was measured was probably 10 years ago. I don't know about women, but men can grow well into their mid-20s. My husband was 23 and 6'3.5" when we married. By the time our first anniversary rolled around he was 6'5". His late growth was all in his legs as his inseam went from a 32" to a 34" in that time period. Blessings, Jennifer

I've never heard this one before! You think maybe people are just standing with correct posture without so much weight pulling them down? I didn't think anyone grew taller after age 18? It would be nice though! Sarah

All I can say is I am in awe of you! I tried a Pilates video she has. Tried being the key word here. I carried that thing into my bedroom and put it on my bookshelf. I told my husband I was A. not skinny enough B. not strong enough and C. not women enough! Good Luck Sarah
