Topic: RE: NOVEMBER 7TH SURGERY BUDDIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there! I'm doing great! I'm down 62 lbs, and feel like a million bucks. My waist is getting so tiny! And my butt is 1/2 the size it was!! I am wearing clothes that I couldn't even wear at this weight before. I'm shrinking so much. I am loving fish... scallops, sole, tilapia, shrimp, etc. I can't get enough of it... although I can't eat much of it. I like meatballs, chicken burgers, turkey burgers, and things like that. I eat tuna salad for lunch usually with some whole grain crackers, and my favorite breakfast is Dr. Praeger's California Burgers with cheese. I'm SO happy I did this. ~ Kim 309/247/130

Good Morning everyone! :wave Well I am going to my 3 month post op check up today, and I can't wait to see what there scale says... It better be the same or less than what the scales at the gym say. I am happy with any weight loss and will not be upset if it has not met my goal. I will come off, so no need in getting all upset. Have a great day and God Bless you all. Susan

Great question, Kimberly. I've noticed my eyesight is different and I am not diabetic. Mine seems to come and go as if I am having trouble focusing. I look forward to any other info about this! Nancy H

Egg salad or Tuna salad made with light mayo, no bread, just the salad Soup, if it does not have any noodles or rice If I am out and need to eat, I try to find a Subway and get a LC wrap. The turkey bacon ranch is really good and very low in carbs. Sometimes I can eat half of it, sometimes I can't. Protein shakes made with Carb Countdown milk. I've recently started adding frozen berries to some of my shakes. I mix them up in my Magic Bullet. Turkey Burgers. Jennie-O brand comes already formed into patties and frozen. Roast cooked in the crock pot deli meat rolled up with cheese eggs, either scrambled, hard boiled or deviled Ham, cooked in the crock pot Collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, romaine lettuce Raw carrots and red and yellow peppers I still can't eat chicken. It gets stuck and is VERY uncomfortable.

Topic: RE: Weightloss cause vision change?
This is what I know about the vision thing... if you are diabetic, your blood sugar levels affect your vision. This is especially true when your blood sugar levels are HIGH; it causes decreased vision. I am a diabetic. Before surgery my eye sight varied depending on my blood sugar levels. I wear glasses, but often times they didn't do much good. I decided to wait until after surgery before going to the eye doctor, so that my diabetes was more stable. Within a week after surgery, my blood sugar levels have registered in the normal range consistantly. I visited my eye doctor this past Saturday and my vision is significantly WORSE than during my last exam, about 16 months ago. It's so bad, she's concerned that I don't have glasses that truly correct my vision, so she's put a rush on getting them back from the manufacturer where the lenses are made (like for driving and work!) She does NOT know about my WLS as she is a new doctor for me. I'm going to bring this up at my next support group meeting at the hospital and see what they say. Often one of the surgeons and/or their RNs are there. Weird! Tammy
