All-right!! 6 month post Roll Call!!!!
Hey!
I'm down 67 lbs, 27 inches (not counting my chest cause that's just TOO depressing) and my BMI puts me in the 'overweight' category. I've lost 55% of my weight and I have 40 to go to reach the Dr's goal, 50 to reach my goal.
I was wearing size 28/30 pant, 3x top, 42 overflowing D...now I'm a size 18 pant (IF I can find some that fit properly), JUNIORS! L or XL top, and 36 barely C.
Each time I reach a mini goal I reward myself with something...a pedicure, new piece of clothing, something to celebrate just for me. Something else I am doing for me and I didn't think it would ever happen this way is I go to the gym 5 days a week. It started as a "have to cause the Dr says so" activity, now it's a "have to because I want to feel good today" activity. It is truly the only time in the day that I have to myself and I enjoy it immensely. One thing I want to try to do this summer is learn to ride a bike and take my kids to some bike trails.

Hi everyone!
I have lost 92 lbs. I have lost about 53 inches. I've gone from a 24/26, 3X-4X to a 14-16, L/XL. Bottoms are smaller than tops as usual; I'm an apple, although my lower tummy is starting to stick out more than my upper tummy - a real change from my before pix where it looked like I was pregnant! Last time I wore a 14 was 1988 (very briefly).
Sunday is my anniversary so I'll be taking more pictures and measurements then. I weigh only once a week so I'm hoping to be down a few more for the official 6 month numbers! My profile has a preop-3mo-5mo combination picture. I hope to change my message board picture this month. A friend of mine said it was about time.
No complications. I see my surgeon on the 15th so I'll find out how my labs are doing. My insulin dose is down 90% from 345 U/day to 36 U/day with a perfect A1C. On 1 BP med instead of 2 and no longer on Lipitor for cholesterol. And I didn't lose my hair!
No major plans for the summer. But maybe I'll have the energy to keep those weeds in check this year, , .

Hi All.
I've lost 74 pounds and today I hit WONDERLAND weighing in at 199. I'm not sure about measurements. I have wrote them down once a month but have not added it all up recently. I was wearing a 26/28 in pants and 3x tops. I now wear 18's and 16's depending on if they made it with that wonderful stretchy stuff.
Congrats to each and everyone of you.

Hi All
My 6 mo. check up is on the 17th but this is where I am at...
Started at 330 lbs., squeezing into 28 pants more likely 30 would fit better. Always looked for tops that were at least a 3X but again 4X were more comfy.
I am now wearing 22 size jeans and tops range comfortably with 2X.
I weighed in at 257 lbs. this am.
I am off all pre surgery meds with the exception of a low dose of Lipitor but hope to go off that when I go in for my 6 mo. check up. I still feel that I am a VERY SLOW LOSER BUT HEY ANYTHING IS A PLUS AS LONG AS I AM NOT GAINING!!!
Good Luck to ALL!!

Hi everyone,
I also have 2 weeks to go before I'm 6 months out, but it's close enough : ). I am very happy with my progress, even if it is starting to slow down. My highest weight was 378#'s. I am down to 219 (a week ago) for a total of 159 #'s, 93#'s are post-op.
I haven't taken my measurement's in a couple of months ~guess I'll do that tomorrow.
I was in a size 30/32 pant's and depending on who/how it was made anywhere from a 3x to a 6x top. I now take a 16 pant's and a 1x or a x lg. depends on how/who makes it. I am half the woman I used to be just a few short months ago. I am looking for a job. I haven't been able to work in over 2 years now. I am so ready to work again : ). I love to walk, roller skate/blade, and go to the gym to work out. I went canoeing with my son already this spring. That was a goal I was hoping to accomplish before he left for boot camp in June. This will be a busy summer for me. In June my support group & hospital bariatric unit are having a skating party, we are also going to Cedar Point. In July we are going camping together. We are planning a trip to the zoo as well. In July my daughter, grandson and I are going to visit my sister in Florida. We will visit N.A.S.A. and Disney World while we're there. In August we will go to Georgia to visit my son on family day in boot camp. Then in September We will go back for his graduation from boot camp. In September 11 people from my hospital support group are going sky diving. I am looking forward to that. It's something I've always wanted to try. This will be the busiest Summer I've ever had, it will probably be the best I've ever had to boot : ). I hope you all enjoy your summer as much as I hope to enjoy mine. HAVE FUN BUT STAY SAFE.
May God bless you all,
Annette
Jacki;
I had my tape measure ready and raring to go last weekend. I don't know if the dogs took it or what, but I can't find it to save my life this week. I've been looking for it since Thursday.
So, I'm posting without new measurements, I was down 42 inches as of 4/5/2006. I am down 78 lbs. as of this morning. I've got 38 lbs. to goal. My BMI is 30.0, so I'm mere ounces from only being overweight instead of obese.
At times, I can't believe how different my life is, yet other days, I see how much they've stayed the same. Since I really can't see my loss without looking at photos, I've started to feel like I'm trapped in a house that the entire outside has been renovated, and I know my neighbors are happy about it, but I don't get to enjoy it. Anyone else have a similar feeling?
Then, I think of the ways my life is different. Working out more and more, sleeping less, having more energy, smaller clothes, fitting comfortably in airline seats, etc. and I can't believe it hasn't even been 6 months since my RNY.
I'm looking forward to going to Six Flags in a few weeks. I LOVE roller coasters and it will be so fun to be able to ride again. I'm also looking forward to going home for my husband's cousin's wedding at the end of June. It will be the first time for most of our families to see me, so that will be exciting.
I am currently 3 lbs. from my wedding day weight. My 9th wedding anniversary is on 5/31, so I'm excited that this will be the first time I've ever weighed less than my wedding day since I got married.
And finally, my exciting accomplishment of the week was closing my Lane Bryant account.
I'm happy to hear everyone is doing so well.
Blessings,
Jennifer
