WOO~HOO, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS
I love Wal~mart!!!! I went shopping for some new workout clothes. What happened here? I just got into a size 18, so I picked out a size 18 in everything, except 1 pair of swishy(sp) pants, and 1 pair of workout pants (shorter than regular pants, but not Capri's). They were both 16. I thought they would be to small. All of the 18's were to big!!! The 16's fit so good. I'm in awe! I can't believe this. Thank you Jesus, For Henry Ford Hospital, And my entire medical/surgical team. WOO~HOO I AM SO HAPPY.
God bless you all,
Love you,
Annette
Jennifer, I'm struggling with exercise myself. I've been walking, but not with any regularity. I will join the gym after my business trip and vacation next month. Until then, I'm trying to walk everyday and not being very successful. I am fighting some fatigue which doesn't help either. (hence the reason it's 2:20 a.m. and I'm wide awake! I went to sleep at 8:00 p.m. because I was so tired!) The gym scares me. I sat outside the gym the other day and watched so many skinny people walk in and walk out. *Sigh* I guess I'm afraid that everyone will be looking at me. Silly, I know. It only takes me 20 minutes to walk a mile and I need to do it in the early mornings before work or force myself to walk when I get home. I think a workout buddy is a great idea! I always do better when I think someone else is depending on me. I need to give myself mini goals and work on them each week. For example: I want to walk five out of seven days next week. The following week I'll try for six days. Then perhaps I can increase the distance. If you find something that works for you, please let me know! I think motivation is half the battle!
Good luck!

I started Physical Therapy for my back 2 weeks ago. They are kicking my butt! I workout 90 mins 3X a week. They have me doing strength exercises and cardio. I am walking on my days off, but it is hard to get motivated. My physical therapist says "Don't you feel energized after working out?" I never have felt energized after a workout. Maybe I will once I get some more weight off, but we will see.
Ugh Im so awful with the whole "E" thing.....
Hubby dragged me out of bed at 5am to go walking... I was so mad at him, he turned all the lights on and threw a pair of socks and a cold bottle of water on me LOL. I was so grumpy!!! I know I need to, it's just never been my strong point...
We bought a recumbent exercise bike on saturday, I need to start using it in the evenings.
I'll get off my butt sometime LOL

I started 2 mins at the time on eliptical and now am doing most anything I want - I did kick boxing the other morning - 30 mins on the elipitcal is my minimum for the day - I also walk, do curves and ab class - it just varies from day to day but all of it I started slow worked my way up - at first I worked up literally one min a day
you are doing great to get started - keep going and work hard

I have been walking and my mother usually comes with me. Today she mentioned this cool program she had heard about: the Streak program! You have to exercise everday for 30 mins. The goal is to continue the "streak" as long as possible. The guy who they interviewed said he sometimes even just walks around the house and up and down the stairs for 30 minutes! I started today..so my streak is 1! I think it is a cool idea and makes things fun..and 30 minutes isn't that bad!
Good luck!
