5 Months - New Photo, Reflection (kinda long)
Good Afternoon!
I hope every one is enjoying this beautiful day and a peaceful Easter (or Passover) weekend. Today is 5 months since my RNY and I (with some guidance from Michael) just posted my new photo in my profile. If you have a moment, please take a look. It's the first time I've ever had the same hair color and cut for two months in a row.
I really can't believe how far I've come in such a short amount of time. I started in a XXL top and 20/22 bottoms. Today in my photo, I'm wearing a M top and 14 bottoms. It completely amazes me that I've lost 73 lbs. and even more amazing to me is I've got only 43 more until I'm at goal.
This morning, my mom and step-dad arrived in SA from Michigan. They hadn't seen me in two months. My step-dad says I look like a completely different person. (He's only known me for 3 years.) My mom kept going on and on about how great I look and that I'm so beautiful. Then she threw in the "well, you were beautiful before" so as not to offend.
Even though my BMI says I have 6 lbs. until I'm not obese anymore, I feel great the way I currently am. The coming month should take me to weight I haven't seen since before my wedding in May 1997.
I am so thankful to God for all the wonderful things in my life, for giving us His son as our Savior, and these days, especially for my surgeon, the support of those around me and this amazing tool that I've been given.
Blessings,
Jennifer

hey Janet, that is so wonderful for you. you look great. I am 5 months out today too.we had our surgeries on the same day. I am down from 245 to 162 as of yesterday and a size m shirt and 14 pants too. I am only 4'11'' so I have to go to 120 before I am at a normal weight. But I will get there or very close I hope.
