What did you do this weekend???
I had such a great weekend. We went rollerblading at Kent lake, and walked the nature trails. It was great! I haven't been able to walk the trails in a couple of years. The swan's were nesting. We got to see one lay her eggs. There was another swan couple building their nest. It was amazing to watch them working together. The Gobi's(sp?) would perch right on our hands to eat seed. They like walnut's better than seed. I saw a grey squirrel for the first time in my life. Maybe it was just getting old. We also saw a squirrel that was grey and red~awesome! We took the "long" trail. It didn't seem that long to me. It was only 2 1/4 miles. There was a part where we came to this rather steep hill, I didn't think I would be able to make it to the top without stopping, but I did and I wasn't even out of breath. It was funny because I climbed up the hill and was standing next to my daughter looking over the lookout thing(don't know what it's called) when she said ok where's mom and started walking back to the hill. She was surprised that I was standing right beside her. I Am so happy to be living again, instead of just existing!
May God bless you all,
Love ya,
Annette
Annette;
I grew up about 10 miles from Kent Lake. The weather up there must have been really spring like if you were able to go rollerblading.
On Saturday, my hubby's cousin and uncle (from Whitmore Lake) were in Corpus Christi for a bowling tournament, so we drove out to the coast to see them. It was crazy hot...90s and very humid at the coast. I've gotten used to living in a much drier environment, so it was almost uncomfortable.
Sunday, I drove to Austin for SXSW. My company is exhibiting, so I got the booth set up and worked the exhibition for 6 hours.
I just finished the exhibition again today. My feet are killing me. Thankfully, tomorrow is only a 4 hour day and then booth tear down and drive home.
Well, I need to run out to find something to eat. When I'm tired and away from home, I miss not being able to just run out for something fast. Last night, I ended up laying down to put my feet up, watched the Sopranos and fell asleep - no dinner last night...
Blessings,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Yes it was very nice weather on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Up in the 60's you know that is warm for this time of year. But alas, I live in Michigan....Today it's very cold low 30's and snowing BURRR. I want the warm weather back! It sounds like you had an interesting weekend. Sorry your feet hurt. Hope you get the rest and nutrition you need.
God bless you,
Annette
Annette;
Thanks for the warning on the weather. I'm so not looking forward to the cold weather. I've turned into such a southerner! Today it was 75 in Austin. I was wearing one of my company polo shirts and black pants and in the shade, I was freezing!
I got home tonight and hubby and I went to our favorite NY style pizza place for dinner. I at the toppings off of one piece of a white pizza with pepperoni and meatballs. I should definitely be back to my normal self tomorrow. I have such a huge new appreciation for how the right foods fuel my body and how the wrong foods make me lethargic. What an amazing realization!
Blessings,
Jennifer

Hi Annette sounds like you had a wonderful time. It feels so good to be able to live again and do things with others instead of standing on the side lines and watching life go by. I went roller skating with my family this weekend. It was the first time I've been on skates in 15 years, but I had a wonderful time and so did they.
Take care,
Anita
