Welcome Darlene
Glad you jumped in to join with us on the journey!!
You'll find lots of support on this message board, and sometimes a few laughs! Even if you need a little you'll find it here.
55 pounds sounds about on target for most of us. Check back over the past week or so and you'll see where several of us "checked in" withour weight losses.
Look forward to seeing more of you

Darlene;
Welcome to the November board! 55 lbs. is on target with where most folks are at this point in our journey.
Keep checking in. In addition to this board, I recommend the boards that are geared toward your pre-op BMI. I've found a wealth of information from those!
Blessings,
Jennifer

Hi Darlene,
Welcome to the November board!! AND......congratulations on your weight loss!!! Fifty-five pounds is great, and sounds right about on target for those of us who had surgery around your date. I haven't weighed myself for a couple of weeks, but, at that time, I was right where you are now. Maybe I've lost a few more pounds, and maybe not. I try not to get too obscessed about the actual weight loss, and instead focus on getting all of my proteins, vitamins and liquids in. I must admit, though, I am anxious to see my internist this coming week, just so I can jump on his scale (remember those days we hated getting weighed??? So not the case these days!!!). Anyway, continued good luck to you, and keep in touch via this board!!!

Kam..........thanks for the warm wishes.......Yes i do remember not wanting to be weighed at all......lol......I do get on my scale at home about 2 times per week........not bad and it keeps me in check.......I have lost about 55 since my surgery date but i lost 15 before my surgery not sure if were supose to count that.....
Congrats for losing 15lbs. prior to surgery....and you should definitely count those pounds in your total weight loss (although not in pounds lost since surgery)!! I, on the other hand, ate many "last suppers", and did not lose an ounce prior to surgery. The good news is my doctor didn't require me to (although it may not have mattered). Take care...........
