NOVEMBER 7TH SURGERY BUDDIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a 11/7 girl too. I am doing well. Working out 4-5x a week, no vomiting yet (crossing fingers), and just trying to figure out why my body can't determine what kind of bathroom habits I should have month to month.
I eat almost anything that is lowfat, sugar free, and a decent protein. So far only 2 things have not agreed with me (felt terrible - like I had a rock in my stomach), and both weren't really great choices to start with.
I've lost 40 lbs (beating my Dr's goal by .5 lb) and I am well over 25% of my excess weight lost. I still get frustrated sometimes when I see others who have lost so much more already, but my Dr. was very good about explaining why/how I am losing as I am and also about charting out where I can expect to be each month. Although I do have to say, despite the low pounds, I've lost over 10 inches in my hips, waist and thighs each, and I didn't measure my bust because that's just too darn depressing. I just went shopping and bought a size XL tshirt (could've had the L, but didn't like the way my arms/wings looked) and a size 18 pants...I haven't been this size in YEARS.
Here's to 11/7!
Christine
I feel better than I have in years!
I posted on your previous post about my eating habits... no need to go there again.
I've lost 57 pounds as of Monday. I'll weight myself again this morning when I go to physical therapy.
I've lost 2 - 3 clothing sizes, but still much bigger on bottom than top... depressing. I am in an XL top, but 24 bottoms.
Darn tummy and hips
Have a good day everyone!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Hello Everyone,
I had my surgery Nov.7,2005 also!! I live in Cabterbury, Ct. I have lost 71 pounds since the surgery. I am just starting to be able to eat meat. I had a stricture that had to be taken care of. It was a piece of cake and really helped in my variety of foods I can tolerate. Well good luck everyone. And HAppy Loosing!!
Hugs, Sarah
I had originally been scheduled for November 7th but had to move it to the 8th.
Anyway, I'm feeling great. I'm swimming 2 - 3 miles a week and doing some weight training.
I'm eating just about everything. The only things I'm not eating are sweets and soda pop.
I've lost 60 lbs. since initial consult with surgeon or 56 lbs. since surgery.
Didi
I was a week later than that,
Nov 15th.
I am going *great*
I am eating pretty much whatever I want, although anything with pork or high in fat makes me nauseous. I am between 800-1000 calories per day.
I have lost 39.5 lbs since surgery, for a total of 69.5 (I had to lose 30 right before surgery as an insurance requirement.)
I started out in a 26-28 and am now in a 18-20
How are you doing?
**hugs**
Janet
I'll be the first Nov. 7th guy to post. I'm doing GREAT and feeling GREAT. I've struggled with how much and what to eat a little. I'm still hungery at times but it might be a mind thing. I struggle with meat if it's not really tender. Suger Alcohol in some suger free treats kill me. This constipation stuff is a real bummer. I'm at the health clud 4 days a week. Olyptical was my enemy but now I'm going 3 miles 4 times a week at level 7. Takes me just over 30 minutes. I'm doing lifting also. No stomach stuff yet...I'm scared to. I started at 384 and I weighed in at 299 yesterday. I'm finally under 300!!!!!!! It's been a long time.
Hey Pete!
Congratulations on the milestone!!
85 pounds is Fantastic
I'm also impressed with your workout... I do some upper body strength training with physical therapy due to a dislocated shoulder and then walking on the treadmill. I may get adventurous and try another machine... I was always afraid of hurting myself or looking like a fool before.
I don't due much stomach stuff yet either due to a hernia from a previous surgery scar. Just a little twisting and stretching.
Keep it up!
Tammy
Hi there! I'm doing great! I'm down 62 lbs, and feel like a million bucks. My waist is getting so tiny! And my butt is 1/2 the size it was!! I am wearing clothes that I couldn't even wear at this weight before. I'm shrinking so much.
I am loving fish... scallops, sole, tilapia, shrimp, etc. I can't get enough of it... although I can't eat much of it. I like meatballs, chicken burgers, turkey burgers, and things like that. I eat tuna salad for lunch usually with some whole grain crackers, and my favorite breakfast is Dr. Praeger's California Burgers with cheese.
I'm SO happy I did this.
