It wasn't the super bowl but....
For me it was one sweet milestone! I found myself on roller blades
this past weekend! Yes me on roller blades!!!! I had a blast. Now mind
you I haven't been on skates in many years, about 20 of them. I was scared to death, and didn't do very well, but it was still fun. As I was practicing, my son and daughter came up behind me, each of them took one of my arms and took off so fast. All they said was come on mom you can do it. The problem was they weren'****ching where they were taking me and I found out just how flexible I really am. My feet went out from under me I had one leg straight out in front and the other up under my back. I heard my knee crack, felt pain in my thigh and yet I some how managed not to break anything. I actually got up by myself, and the three of us went around the rink a few times them holding my hands, so I wouldn't fall. We had so much fun. I can't wait to do it again! I wasn't even sore the next day, must be from all the walking. Just thought I would share my experience with you all.
God bless,
Annette
Thank you Tanya. I can't believe I actually did it. I am going to buy a pair of blades this weekend. I can't wait to go again. Having this surgery has given me a different mind set. I figure If I can risk my life to have surgery, then I can risk putting on a pair of skates. I am so glad I did.
God bless you,
Annette
Hi Carla,
All you have to do to stop is run into the wall. It's easy.
It's been a long time but it was well worth it! It will all come back to you. I wasn't very good at roller skating, but I could ice skate ok. Roller blading is closer to ice skating. I can't wait to go again. If I can do it then anyone can do.
God bless you,
Annette
