No Excuse Exercise Challenge Day 6

Sorry for posting so late, but I had to walk in a parade this morning and I'm just returning home. I hope everybody is close to or have met their goal. **Goal: Exercise 20 minutes/day, 5x/week** Progress: 1/30 - Elliptical 20 minutes; weight training (upper body) 10 minutes. 1/31 - Elliptical 20 minutes; 2/01 - Break 2/02 - Elliptical 10 minutes; weight training (lower body) 10 minutes. 2/03 - Break 2/04 - Walked 3 miles off and on for about 1 1/2 hours.

diva, wow u really done some walking today!! way to go!! does pacing the er floor count as exercise? i spent all day in the er with my 12 yr old son. he passed out this am and i think he had a seizure afterwards. so we spent 9 hours in the er for many tests and bags of fluids. he is fine now and finally we r back home. have a good nite and u only have 1 more day to exercise to meet ur goal. u can do it!!!! lisa

Aww Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about your son, but I'm glad that he's back home and doing well. I'm so sore from yesterday, but I will get in my 20 minutes today. TTYL

diva, thanks for the well wishes bout my son. he is his old self again today. but i been forcing liquids down him all day. lol im sorry ur sore from yesterday but keep up the good work!!! u have almost made ur goal!!!! thats awesome ttyl lisa

OK, so I havent been checking in but I have been exercising. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning. I kinda fell off the wagon and got dragged last week but I started over on sat and also done 30 minutes on the treadmill. I finally found a way the swallow that darn protein shake. I put fat free no sugar added ice cream in it with low fat milk and made a milkshake. Since I've downing the shakes the scale has started moving again. Keep up the motivation. Reneka

Hey Girl, Thanks for checking in. I know it's hard to get to a computer sometimes, but the most important thing is that you are exercising. What brand of ice cream is ff with no sugar added? I might try to hook my shakes up like yours. (Yes, I'm a copy-cat)

I NEED HELP!! My brain says exercise, but my body and motivation say NO! I mean I can't make myself get up and exercise. I need someone to exercise with... OK... that's it...no more whining... I'm getting up right now and exercising to Richard Simmons tape... I'll report back! Tammy.. with determination!!

Go Tammy, You can DO IT!!!!! We have all been there and I know the hardest part is taking the first step. The first day may be a little rough, but it will get easier and easier. Keep us posted. I'll be waiting for your report.

I DID IT!!! 45 minutes including warm up and cool down. First time I've been able to finish the whole tape since I took it out of storage!!! ok... my goal is 4 times per week, at least 20 minutes per session... 80 minutes per week of aerobic/sweatin' exercise. I do have PT for my arm 3 times per week for an hour, but I'm not counting that! Thanks for helping to motivate me!!! I'm now sitting here enjoying a nice glass of crystal lite peach iced tea
