Hi Lisa, I'm so glad you posted this. I don't think I'm eating enough, so I'm going to increase everything like you and see what happens. Congrats on losing those five pounds!!:

Dear Lisa, How do you get 80 grams in at 600 calories? I need some ideas. I can usually get 70 grams in about 600 to 700 calories, but I don't use protein shakes. I'm still looking for ones I can drink that don't cost a fortune. And I don't do much cheese--never liked it excepted melted on pizza! Sally

Hi Sally, I hated all the protein shakes I bought. What has been working for me is mixing AnyWhey (that is the brand name) with the Dannon no sugar added smoothies. Yesterday a put a couple teaspoons of flax seed in the bender and ground them up before I added the other stuff. I've also made protein shakes using lactaid milk, the scoop of AnyWhey and flavoring it with orange/pineapple Crystal Lite powder. Tastes like an orange julius if you add a few drops of vanilla extract. good luck, Didi

sally, well i use protein shakes. i get mine from walmart, its called carb solutions. inexpensive and doesnt taste too bad. kinda like a malt milkshake.i use 2 scoops in my shakes-- each scoop is 20 grms of protein. then i also eat alot of shrimp, fish, chicken, and cheese and some carb free yogurt. thats really all i been doing. i average 80 grms of protein doing this and my calories r between 600-700. good luck and happy losing!!! lisa

Hi Sally Although I haven't found a protein drink I DON'T like (ok, I'm weird) I don't drink them that often... no more than one per day. I get most of my protein from FISH and CHICKEN. Whenever I'm making a choice of something to buy/eat, I look for protein, whether it's crackers, drinks, or whatever. Also, I've signed up for all the free samples of protein drinks I could get. The lady that leads my support group gets samples for us. I bought a few already prepared drinks online to have on hand when I'm on the go and need something easy. Although they do run an average of $2 each, compared to what I'm saving by not eating fast food and junk, it's worth it! Good luck! Tammy

Way 2 go... 5 pounds in 3 days is awesome! That was a big thing my surgeon told me also... make sure you eat enough.. or you won't lose. I seen a protein bar at Krogers today, it had 32 grams of protein but 8 grams of fat and over 300 calories... I don't know maybe as a meal supplement? Great job every one! Kim

Congratulations Lisa!! You definitely have to eat "enough" for this tool to work properly. No starving yourself, whether you're hungry or not!! I also learned this lesson when my weight loss slowed and I got frusterated because I wasn't eating much. Go Girl!! Hugs, Tammy
