Hello everyone - First time poster here! So this is the question: What are your favorite post-op foods??? What do you find goes down the easiest, and tastes the best? What about convenience? How do you keep your food warm when it takes SO LONG to eat it? My favs are AnyWhey protein powder (I mix it in anything and everything I can), liverwurst with Mustard, Soup at Hand, Dannon carb control yogurt smoothies, black beans with taco or picante sauce and melted cheese, Quaker soy crisps (bbq or white cheddar), salmon pie, crab cakes, imitation crab meat/sticks, egg salad, and the best popsicles ever: Tropicana Real Fruit Sugar Free! I need suggestions, as the above listed are really all I eat. Chicken, no matter how I prepare it, just does not work for me, nor does beef. ~Angela (8 weeks out and 40 lbs lost)

Tuna, Carb Control Yogurt, Oatmeal with Unjury unflavored protein for a total of 35 grams of protein. Unjury has 20 grams and the protein has 15. I get the oatmeal from an online store named: i-shophere.biz I recently tried refried beans and put a little shredded cheese on it.

I love anything mexican. I eat alot of grilled chicken, both in salads and by itself. I also like the Sugar/Carb control yogurts, string cheese, tuna salad, egg salad, almost anything that is a good choice. I also enjoy treating myself to SF ice cream or popsicles from time to time. Christine

Dannon carb control yogurt is good. Cottage cheese Low-fat really taste good to me. Love my sugar free popsicles. I find I also enjoy hot soups. I can eat most anything but sweets and real eggs. Salads seem to go down well with me. "I use an electric cup warmer to keep my food warm."

ok well my fave foods are chicken with pesto and sundried tomatoes. hehheh Im Italian! Also I like to eat shrimp I eat about 6 pieces and Im done. I also eat colby cheese sticks and the kraft polyo cheese. I also have salmon or fish of anykind and garlic adn herbs. Since i cant eat more than about 3 ozs of meat I make sure my meat is exploding with herbs and seasonings. It is interesting I loved spicy foods but never craved them. Since surgery I crave them now. I crave strong flavors. I also sip on lipton cup of soup creamy chicken. I made a roast the other day( I use london broil) I marinate it for one day int he fridge with marsala wine and Mccormicks steak montreal marinate. I then cook it on 250 degrees for about 3 hours. Just make sure you chew well. I ate it adn was fine but dang if there is a major heavy feeling as it goes through you. But i cook all the time. Also for tuna fish i mix garlic powder, mustard, chopped roasted red peppers and relish together and just add enough mayo to pull ingredients together. It is so good. Hope this helps to add variety to your meals. Amy

For convinence foods I like 2% milk cheese sticks, they are in 1 oz packages and I have had both cheddar and mozzerella. I also love Pintos and cheese from Taco Bell for a meal on the go. I tend to drink V8 at least once a day instead of eating veggies. It goes down easily and I like the taste.
