I'm not losing like everyone else HELP!
Diane,
I have felt like I was a slow loser also. What helped me was going to the post-op planner and entering in my information. It will plot out what you should expect to lose each month for the next 18 months. I am right on track. Give it a try and I bet you will find the same thing. Try not to compare yourself to others because we all have different heights, weights, etc....
HTH,
Annette
Diane, I posted a longer response on your post: "Am I eating too much"--based on your response above, I think the culprit is the carbs. My surgeon and nutritionist both say that during the weight loss phase, you should not get more than 40 grams of carbs a day. Carbs store in your body as fat, so if you're eating that much, your body isn't burning up fat. Plus, eating carbs makes you hungry all the time.
Over and over my surgeon says, "Protein first." "70 grams minimum of protein." "Limit carbs."
If your nutritionist insists that you eat that much carb a day, I would seek a second opinion.
Best of luck,
Sandi
