I have been using the Wellements Whey Protein drink from Costco. For one scoop it has 27 grams of protein. I couldn't stomach mixing protein powder with milk, was way too rich for me. This brand gives me enough protein without having to use milk! It says to mix with 5-6 oz of water, but I usually do 10 ozs.
For protein bars, my nutritionist suggested the Zone bars. I have only recently been able to eat them as they are crunchy. Other bars that are great, but may be too high in fat, are the Lindora bars. You can get them at http://www.lindora.com, the best is the chocolate mint bar. I haven't tried them post-op yet. The nice thing is they are 15 g of protein and about 1/2 the size of the typical store bought ones.

My favorites have been the Nectar Cappucino Latte (I mix with 5 oz of Lite 8th Continent Soy Milk...I like this better than the Silk soy milk). Needs no sugar or anything else. Tastes great hot or cold.
With milk, I believe it's between 24-46 grams, don't quote me though).
Nectar Lemon Tea...I mix with 6-7 oz of Crystal Light Lemonade. 23 grams of protein.
I also just recently discovered Carb Solution Royal Chocolate...these are premade for days when I'm in a hurry. At Kroger a 4-pack is $2.99 but I believe they also sell them at Wal-Mart.
I tried a protein bar last week but it didn't sit real well, so it may be a while before I try again.
As far as protein drinks go, I was using Amplify from GNC but when mixed with hot liquid it thickened up real bad and was gross, so now I use vanilla Maximum from GNC. This is wonderful in coffee in the morning. It taste just like a cappacino, without all the guilt. The great plus side to this is..........I drink 2 cups of coffee each morning mixed with 2 scoops of Maximum. Each scoop has 22 grams of protein. So, by noon, I have already had 44 grams of protein and the rest is easy to get in the rest of the day. A little secret, even if the coffee gets cold, it is still delicious It becomes more like a Frapaccino then.
