Lactose, fructose, sucrose, etc... they're all sugar no matter where they come from. ~ Kim 309/260/130

The ladies from the OSSG-Protein mailing group disagree, and I trust their 10+ years of post-op experience on this. It's ok if you don't agree with me or them. ~ Kim

Hi Kim, Please forgive me ~I feel like such a ditz here. It's the milk sugars in lactaid that I was told are different from sugar in the milk, and don't really count as sugar.~ I mixed them up. I apologize for any misinformation. Annette

Milk sugars raise your blood glucose level. Maybe not as fast as table sugar but it certainly makes a change. Ask any diabetic to drink a full glass of milk and see how their blood sugar raises. The message that milk sugar doesn't count is just wrong.

OMG!! the last time i tried milk i was about 3 or 4 sips into it and ended up in the bathroom for AWHILE!!! i had terrible cramps and had alot of "thinking" to do in the bathroom after that. LOL. it just doesnt agree with me anymore. it is so strange to me that different people can react so differently to the same operation. how weird is that??? *good luck* ~susanne~
