Anyone for a total?
Hello fellow Novembsters-
WLS orientation 7/05/05- 394
Surgery 11/21/05- 324
Today - 272
52 gone since surgery, 122 total since the start of this incredible jouney!
I've noticed since going back to the gym for the first time since surgery that my weight loss seems to be mostly muscle. I'm feeling a bit week but working on it.
Best to all-
Trina,
You and I are in the same boat. Keep the faith. I have not weighed myself since week 6 because I was tired of seeing the scale not moving. At week 6 I had only lost 16 pounds. My doctor told me to eat more, that didn't work. I eat less and that doesn't work. My weight is just going to come off at the rate it wants to. As long as it is steady, I won't complain. I am not weighing myself again until March 3rd when I go back to the doctor. I am exercising and eating as suggested.
Divine Lady,
I feel the same way- my body is going to go at its own pace I guess. I busted my butt at the gym this past week for about a 2 lb loss. I was very upset. I still feel alot of times like this won't work for me. A friend told me to try 5-6 meals a day. I'll try it, I'll try anything now!
Trina
Trina,
My doctor told me to do 5-6 meals per day to keep my metabolism going. I try to do this as much as possible. It hasn't seemed to help for me. My niece had WLS in June. Her weight loss has been slow as well but she is now down 80 pounds and still losing at a slow rate. As long as it keeps going in the right direction, you will get there. I stopped stepping on the scale and I am just going to have faith that it will work as long as I do what I am supposed to do (i.e. regular exercise, avoid high carbs and eat small meals throughout the day).
