had my scope today

went for my scope today and i was so nervous!! i had never had one b4. everyone was really nice and explained what was gonna happen. 1st we got the iv started and some fluids.o u have to strip down and put on their gowns. once they were ready for me in the room i was wheeled in. then i was told to turn on my left side and i had to drink THE NASTIEST tasting stuff i ever tasted. they said it was lidocain to numb my throat. then i had to have this mouth guard put in for the procedure. meanwhile im getting the happy meds and thats all i knew til im waking up in recovery. no sore throat, no sickness, no ill side effects at all. results?..... well i had a small stricture so i was dilated some and boy i feel better already. and my dr even gave me copies of the pics he took so i could show my kids hope this helps someone else who might need to have a scope. maybe it wont be as scary or mysterious for u. i needed the scope because i was getting sick everytime i ate and my chest hurt like things was getting stuck. apparently they were some. have a good nite lisa -40 lbs

I was so nervous the first time I had one done! I am now going to have my 3rd one done for a recheck of my stricture.
