Feeling much better! I can eat and drink without feeling sick at all. I had a narrowing, and a small stricture at the anastomosis side(sorry but I don't remember what the anastomosis side means~even though he told me what it was). The E.G.D. wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. All I remember about it is I was gagging, I thought I was going to throw up, and someone saying not to do that. The I.V. went in with very little pain. This is a first for me . They did have to use a needle that was intended for use on an infant ,the toddler one was to big. I have a bit of a sore throat, but feel pretty good. The Dr. said I may not ever have to have this done again~but mostly likely would have to do it again. Maybe as soon as 2 days or as long as a few week's. whatever the case, I feels good to be able to eat and drink without being sick! Thank you all for your encouragement, and support when I was not sure what I should do. Love you guy's you're the bestest God bless you all, Annette

Hi Bethany, I spent most of the day sleeping off the drugs they used. I didn't get up untill 4:00 this afternoon. I drank 24 oz's. of water, 20 oz's. of propel fitness water. I ate 2 oz's. of f.f. refried beans with 1 slice of f.f. cheddar cheese melted on top. Later I ate 1 meatless meatball W/ mustard, and a spinach nugget( both were very good). I also had a chocolate protein shake made with 8oz's. of skim milk. This is a lot for me. Before my scope I could barely get in 16 oz's. of water, food was very minimal, A bite of beans, or jello using a coated baby spoon. I feel very satisfied with my foods today. I'm hoping that I'll start losing again now that I can eat. Thank you Bethany. God bless you, Annette

YEAH ANNETTE I'm sooooo glad you got that done. I was afraid it was something like that, but didn't want to say! Sounds like you are on the road to better eating and drinking. ENJOY! Hugs, Tammy

I'm from the December board, but was looking to see if anyone else had this problem and saw your post! I just had a scope and dilation done yesterday as well. I also feel great now afterwards. I had gotten dehydrated and hospitalized last week because I could barely keep anything down. I have to go back in another month to do it again, but I feel like I can handle anything now. I had been so ill for 2 weeks prior to my dilation. Anyway, glad I found someone else that had this done. Nobody on the December board has had this problem besides me. Lucky people! Best wishes!! Isn't it amazing how fast you feel better? I had my scope Dec 12th and I remember the first thing I said when I woke up was I am thirsty LOL I could not keep anything down. They were amazed how closed I was so fast. They said 2mm and they stretched (sp?) me to 15mm. They wanted me to repeat it in 2 weeks but having issues getting my referral. Hope you continue to feel better! Casey revision 11/15/05 270/235/180
